This incredible video was captured at an altitude of 3050 m. by forest guard Shiv Kumar (@wild_lahaul_spiti) in Lahaul, Himachal Pradesh. Shiv is an alumnus of Sanctuary's Mud on Boots Project. He started camera trapping in 2016 and has recorded six individuals in the Udaipur Range, three individuals in the Pattan Range, and one in the Keylong Range of the Lahaul forest division. Kumar has been observing this female snow leopard and her two sub-adult cubs, who have now been trained by their mother to survive the challenges of their terrain and will be leaving to lead their independent lives soon. Through his years of association with us, he has made us privy to special sightings of high altitude wildlife such as this one!
