I like your videos. Your voice over explanations are thorough and soothing. I saw that snail moving in and the trunk dance was great. I'm learning a lot and think you are a secret expert at elephant anatomy.

I know the feeling, I laughed so much! I must have watched that 6 second animation for 30 minutes total while in my editing program LOL!! (loop mode, activate hehe) It's cute funny and a little dumb all at once! xD

I love stopmotion animation just as much as time lapse, it's just trying to figure things out along the way like using wifi instead of touching the camera, or just using film like in this video. Either way, between the new camera mount, and equipment upgrade I bet I can do mad MAD stopmotion animated video's, pretty fast too. You can expect to see it more often at least... it's too easy really. I may make a video showing what I do to make them :D Glad to make you smile, these simple changes made me happy and I guess it shows :D

Polymer Clay Artist Yes it definitely showed through and that made me the happiest of all. I needed it. I have been down a bit lately. Doing okay today but frustrated because I can't find my open tube of e6000 :p I have one unopened and I know where it is but I don't like to open things when I have one that is already open. :P
@TheBroodingTom8 жыл бұрын
LOL I had to google that I didn't know what those things are, but I can relate to wanting to rotate your stalk! I hope you find it! You could just open it but increase your crafting output by a warp factor of 2.. Oh no, that's it... too much Star Trek next Generation marathon :D
@BlackCat_28 жыл бұрын
Polymer Clay Artist hee hee yes I could just open it but I am taking this as a sign I need to neaten up my crafting area. I have so much stuff in stock but if I can't find it when I need it then it isn't much good to me is it? :P Nothing wrong with a TNG marathon. :D I have been watching too. I need the glue to stick together some puff balls to which I will be adding faces, ears, legs, arms etc. made from polymer clay.
@TheBroodingTom8 жыл бұрын
That sounds neat, are you going to upload or post a pic? My crafting area is a total WRECK right now, I moved it from one room to another and still haven't got everything squared away, I should clean up too really

Dancing trunks and sneaky snails! This is great! I am LOVING watching your videos! You voice is so calm and mellow! I absolutely enjoy watching and listening to you teach. You are super talented. I am just starting in Polymer clay so I believe your channel will be very helpful for me. :)

I'm very luck to have you here, thanks for letting me know too and the feedback. It's motivating and helps me! This channel needs help, I wish more people could find it... the response is usually good from new visitors but I'm competing with like a million YT channels lol. I want to say it's catching on and picking up, keeping fingers crossed. In time, if you still like this perhaps you could tell a friend about it? Not now, just enjoy and thank you for your time as it means everything!
@heatherherrmann17777 жыл бұрын
I will absolutely tell my friends about it. I have a good friend that really wants to get into clay sculpting and while she seems to want to do kiln type clay, I want to convince her how amazing polymer clay is. Most people don't have a kiln in their house so polymer is an awesome option I believe.
@TheBroodingTom7 жыл бұрын
I agree! My first few items were made from a potting clay (I guess) and it does have it's uses, but definitely has limits too! No armature or rigid structures can be used at all, not to mention it's messier lol I tried to fire a king cobra and it exploded in the kiln, roughly 80 hours gone. Before that I used a armature and it basically "ejected" right out of the sculpture due to the massive shrinkage of the clay around it. (it's made with water, water evaporates causing less mass, thus it shrinks) Polymer clay has less than 1% shrinkage (from what I can remember reading) so I can even wrap fine glass with it. Thank you so much for helping this channel.. It's hard asking but I'm glad I did!
@heatherherrmann17777 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah that kind of clay is awful if it gets fired with air bubbles in it too! Lol!
@TheBroodingTom7 жыл бұрын
just wanted to add something to that.. if your friend insists on using kiln clay then let them. Sculpting is really relaxing and it matters not what type of clay used! Some of my idea and techniques can still be applied, they will just have to consider the clay shrinkage, keeping it wet and/or covered constantly, and it being very brittle when dried. I'm fixing to do the baking video on this elephant!! WOOHOO! (just waiting on yet another new microphone lol) and I'll try comparing the two clays a little while explaining the baking :D

BTW, most of part 9 is already edited I'm just waiting on a external power supply to get here for new microphone, so I can do the voiceover. It should be here today too woohoo. so soon... then I'll be able to move even faster having FINALLY sorted out all my gear (knock on wood) lol

Thank you for the video. Its totally fun. I'm new to working with polymer clay & was having fits over pieces breaking off after baking. Thank you for the tidbit of info about how long to let them sit after baking. It has made a world of difference to me. The animations are awesome too. Ever thought about doing a tutorial on how to film the animations?

I love your elephant videos, you've done a fantastic job! What are you using to make the animated intro? The clay letters are awesome. Did you make the clay letters from real clay and animated them or the whole thing is animation? Hope that makes sense lol.

Can I ask, does the polymer clay stick to the armature or foil, or do you need to apply an adhesive to the armature?

it's getting really cool :) looking forward to the next part. I'm not sure if it's possible but I feel like if you'd upload more often, your channel would grow faster. I really like watching you craft but it's like whenever you upload a new video I have almost forgotten about your channel. I don't mean that offensive or anything, it's just a suggestion to stay in people's minds ;) hope you understand me.
@TheBroodingTom8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! No you're right on point, if I upload more often it'll help the channel grow! I'm making huge strides to making just that happen too! Editing was so frustrating to me I hated doing it more and more to the point where it would seem like I have forgotten about the channel too... (talking about the 2 month gaps between some uploads recently) I just had some wrinkles to iron out is all, but I'm back now at full swing, so wish me luck as I upload more often, and here's to hoping you can catch the rest of this series. I completely agree with you and I appreciate the feedback, thanks again!
