I think it is great for a band like this to do some cover songs especially of a similar like type of musical influence. It introduces the Elephant to people who may not have otherwise herd of this wonderful band. Someone looks up "Have a Cigar" and finds this and figures. "What the hell. Ill listen". And they listen to other ER songs and they are an instant fan. Maybe. I say more likely so than not. They have many great great songs.

Elephant Revival is such an awesome ensemble ....... I'm horrified by reports they've "broken up" to pursue independent careers. Only recently discovered them myself (OK, yeah, I'm old and slow ...) but if the breakup tales are true, its so sad that they couldn't hold it together "for the music." This was totally awesome. I only hope THEY read any of the comments posted to their videos here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two of the band members broke up after a long relationship, so the whole band took a long hiatus to do other things. From what I understand they're back touring right now though (with new guitarist).
