Please tell anyone you know going travelling - do NOT ride elephants, to not pay for tortured elephants to entertain you. Do not buy any knicknacks made of elephant tusk. Ignorance is maintaining this senseless and disgusting industry. We need an elephant Blackfish, that will transform peoples understanding. In China they are often lied to and told the "ivory" comes from an already dead animal. This just has to stop.

When Ellie Milnes, at the 3:10 mark, say PHAJAAN. She is referring to the torture training also called The Crush. Just thinking about it gets me angry.😭😭😭

Sugar4me2 There's a high chance They used a white hot poker to burn Zuki's tongue during the crush &/or broken His jaw with the claw hammer that is often used in the torture of crushing their spirit. They may have broken His teeth during the process too. These Men should be put to death, If I had My way all the abusive Mahouts should be put through the crush until their spirits are crushed. Then They'd be used to carry tourists on their backs all day with no break & no shade (& no shoes). And chained up all night in a standing position, still with no shoes & made to eat plastic through desperation. And when I say only the abusive mahouts, I mean any Mahout who isn't a rescuer & true caregiver.

What if we let those who tortured Zuki during "the crush" go through every cruel thing they did to Zuki? These people who still do that cruel method even after so much awareness campaign are just so rotten. Sometimes they still abuse these elephants because of their misplaced pride and they hate the fact that Lek has proven them all wrong and exposed how cruel they are. More power to Lek and his team and to the people who will fight against animal cruelty.

Life is harsh in any third world country. People in those countries usually have no love for animals because they don't even have the basics for themselves. I was In a Chiang rai bus station and I saw a 30 something year old one legged man using a cut tree branch as a crutch. He wasn't a beggar, he was there with another man waiting for the bus.

Injured Baby Zuki. Look at his injured trunk. How I despise PHAJAAN. I hope the vets will be able to ascertain what in his mouth has been injured. It seems that the enslavers that committed the atrocity of PHAJAAN against Zuki and against his Creator, may have forced their cursed BULLHOOK into his mouth or throat. Humanity was never supposed to be Evil. They make the creatures and other humans pay the price for their evil. They have forgotten that they will answer to Creator. Dear Zuki. It's a wonder he allows any human to touch him at all.
@cacatr44958 жыл бұрын
Gem Monger Many humans HAVE decided to be Evil. Your circular argument falls apart when you say it is abhorrent, and when you make "black and white" declarations. According to your argument, there would be nothing then that is abhorrent. It IS abhorrent, and WRONG, immoral and evil BECAUSE PHAJAAN, Torture-training of elephants, VIOLATES ALL TRUST AND DESTROYS LIFE. Without trust, without Truth (and Truth IS definite), without Life, we've got nothing. Your saying, in essence, that there "is no" moral Law, is blown asunder by your very definite misjudgements that there is none. You cannot make "black and white" statements and then turn around to say there are no "black and white" determinations. YOU just MADE many black and white declarations. Save your mistaken philosophy. The Truth of Love, Honor and Wisdom regarding LIFE, is what counts. I STAY WITH THAT, thank you.
@cacatr44958 жыл бұрын
Gem Monger Quote: "unethical practices such as torture . ." , "there is no black and white morality". -- According to your theories, your own use of the word "unethical" is senseless.
@cacatr44958 жыл бұрын
Gem Monger Greetings, Gem. I had no "battle cry" and there was no "storming off". You subjectively emotionalised my DEFINITIVE EMPHATIC DECLARATION. You somehow decided that uppercase inherently means battle or storming, when I have clearly used it in isolated, carefully selected places to bring EMPHASIS. I use uppercase to drive a point home, to show strength of expression, where it would be if we were face to face speaking verbally. As you are bright enough to know, the written word is devoid of auditory expression, the highs and lows of tone for emphasis. I emulate that, by placing Caps, or CAPS, or even CAPS LIKE THIS. But it is obviously, LOGICALLY used only in places of Emphasis. It is striking that I have to explain what my caps have so clearly delineated. Now, your error is, that like many in this current time, you are basing your entire line of thought on mass consensus. You believe that in order to have moral Law that all men must agree or it doesn't exist. You are right that That manner of Premise does do away with all moral Law, IF that Premise is a correct one. However, fallen selfish men will NEVER agree on what constitutes morality. So does that do away with all moral Law? Or is there a higher basis, a definitive ruling Premise on which to measure what is moral?? Does Man determine morality? Or does his Maker? A short definition of the word Evil is a destructive "heart" or misusing something against its original purpose. Every creature was made with an original purpose. A person can talk consensus all day long, and never find Truth. They'll be spinning their wheels, very busy with the Hegelian Dialectic. People who believe there is no definitive truth for moral reasoning will never find it, unless their eyes are opened. Man is on a self-destructive streak as never before in all of history, because he rejects moral Law in his pride. He doesn't want the Truth. With pride and selfishness, all things can be "rationalized." But that doesn't stop the destruction, and it doesn't make his choices Life-giving. His attempts to justify destruction does NOT stop or excuse his purposeful Extinction of the elephants. False Pride is the root of spiritual stupidity and blindness. It completely blocks the heart's understanding. By false pride, men are deceived into their own destruction. Man needs to wake up and realize that this Life is not about his selfish ego. There are LIFE-GIVING rules to stay within, rules that BUILD UP, that Edify, that strengthen Love, that result in Peace and Wholeness, not brokenness. It is Not true that "the ends justify the means." Sure, these people have to feed their families. But the kicker is, THERE'S A WAY TO DO IT THAT IS LIFE-GIVING. What you preach is called Relativism; it's been around a long time. "All things are relative: there is no sure morality." You're going to have to decide who decides that. The created? Or his Creator. Creatures were not put here for humans to destroy, abuse or torture. That is a MISUSE of their function. They were put here for their design-function ( Elephants are the caretakers of the jungle, STUDY how they are the keystone specie of it, and how they grandly benefit it and restore it, in turn, impacting the weather as well, as jungles are the lungs of the planet [giving Oxygen for LIFE!] and draw the rain! Water!! ), and to be a companion to Man. Their design-functions and companionship were as it was in The Beginning, when ALL things WERE good. Man has lived outside of that Perfection for so long that he has FORGOTTEN what is Good. We can only now see it in tiny fractions, like with Lek and Darrick and the genuine friendships they have with many, such as ele Faa Mai and young Kham La. These are organic friendships where no force is present. They give us a tiny picture of how it was in The Beginning. >> No misuse. With all my heart, I am extremely thankful for what they are showing us, and for their loving efforts to restore the elephants to their precious home, the home that is also our home. Much Love, choose Life.
@cacatr44958 жыл бұрын
Gem Monger Yes, there are reasons; we weren't discussing them. One is, they are unreasoning of thought, because there is a far better way to teach than torture. They don't use their heads. 2. Tradition: they believe the teachings of the tradition, rather than examining the value and repercussions of that tradition. 3. They have extremely insensitive hearts, uncaring that they are causing pain, injuries and even death and extinction to elephants. Empathy and compassion are indeed moral attributes. Compassion should always be a motivating foundation in life. I shared a great deal more with you than simple declarations. I laid it all out with much clarity, specificity, energy, time and heart, but your response has been continually antagonistic, punitive, argumentative, rude and haughty. You never bothered to clarify yourself, so I will: Ethics are culturally agreed upon between men on what is acceptable. Morality is founded on what Creator declares to be acceptable. Yes, there's a difference, especially to those who would refuse Creator. If you wanted to make that delineation, you could have. But your haughty antagonism was unnecessary and hurtful, and for that, you were insensitive and antisocial. This is neither the venue, not the spirit of the location to pursue a big argument. I use my heart to help the elephants. You just wanted to rebuke me for holding to moral principles, something that you don't believe exists. But I don't have to receive your rebuke, and you have forgotten that. You are not my mentor or my teacher. You have been condescending and mean-spirited in your chosen words, even hateful. You are not yet at the place in your life where what I shared mattered to you. If you are not open to respectful communications, I suggest you not pursue them. You have seemingly not understood anything I have shared with you, not even on my elementally expressive use of caps. It seems you're just contentious, wanting to rail with your own devices, refusing anyone else's thoughts that YOU've DEMANDED of them. You made the demand, then you were rude, aggressive, punitive, mean and hateful when I bothered to answer you. If that's the way you are, why should anyone bother with you? Your emotional, blatant and belittling derision doesn't change or deny the truth or value of what I shared, no matter how many times you call your senior "a child." I'm glad you're "Done" with me: I never sought an argument or contention with you in the first place. That was all your doing, and aggressively so. In your youthful zeal, you would be wise not to be "high-minded" and personally aggressive: it doesn't pay, and it doesn't honor you. You might look into the various definitions of ethics versus morals, and yes, many people do use those words interchangeably, especially if they are people of faith. It's not a felony, or a valid reason to be punitive with someone. I wish the very best for you.
