This man has elevated my hitting, setting and receiving. He’s completely turned me into a new player… I’m able to do things I never would’ve dreamt of doing as I’m only 5’4. Huge thanks to him!

Omg your videos tips on try out help me understand and pass it on to my daughter who is the beginner on volleyball, she’s athletic and got invited by the coach to her first ever tryout last night after joining the first summer clinic, her 2nd tryout is coming Saturday and we will change our game by applying your tips. Shes 5’ tall, 13yo and she can sprint and jump. She is working on her spike and over serve right now. She shows passion about it 🤞Thanks for the tips

Thanks for the video, I needed this because I have tryouts this Friday on the 11th Edit: sadly I didn't make the team (I was trying out for the 17s team bc they don't have a 16s team this year and I turn 16 this year) but that just means I need to train twice as hard as everyone else if I want to make it, I'm going to start training at least twice or three times a day, weights in the morning, swimming at noon, then volleyball later in the day and with all of that, it should be around 8 hours of training a day(my dream is to play professionally and the only way I can do that is by training 3 times as hard as those player who are naturally gifted), I will excel in one position to the point where I'm the best in Colorado for that position and i will get even better by playing beach volleyball, the gifted players excel at all positions so for me to be better, I must become the best at one single position, since my hitting isn't the best, I can focus on perfecting my digging and become one of the best liberos in the world

Your tips are very nice and matches my experience. Sadly I wish their would be coaches like you in my area. Maybe you could do a video about not ambitious enough teammates and coaches. I hate that "just for fun" mentality. Our coach is on holiday for 4 weeks without annoucing a substitution coach and all my teammates are literally chilling the whole summer. We are over 20 in the squad but can't manage 6 players to attend the trainings. The gym is there for free, we have 2 hours training assigned and its sooo freaking frustrating to let that opportunity go to waste.

On the point of being coachable. Most coaches don't actually give feedback the way you presented it. It's pretty common for coaches to say something like "swing in a straight line in front of you" but that's just pointing out the error in the output instead of the input that caused it. Another example is that coaching athletes to achieve "triple flexion" is much more effective than trying to coach "triple extension"

I lokwey needed this since my tryouts for volleyball are on the 21st I've been doing summer volleyball practices at my school but I'm scared for actual tryouts but I don't know how to practice since I don't have friends and my siblings don't like volleyball but ive been only going to the gym since we're only doing conditioning this week since my coaches suggested us to workout alot so she can see when we run suicides or 16s who worked out and who didn't
@samsquire5062

can you not just practice at your community club or something. also what do you mean when you say 'run suicides'
@justsomeone1384
@justsomeone1384 Жыл бұрын
@@samsquire5062 the practice I do I have to go to my school and practice in the gym with the other people and if we do something bad or mess up we run suicides together as a team haha I recommend looking it up if you don't know what they are
@justsomeone1384
@justsomeone1384 Жыл бұрын
@@samsquire5062 when I meant run suicides my coach likes to look around and see who's the most tired after running them and who's not to make the conclusion that the person whos tired didn't train at all or didn't work out before tryouts and the person who isn't tired did workout the week before tryouts
