Why do Florida Counties, i.e. Orange County & Citrus County, reject FEMA Elevation Certificates, signed/sealed/certified from both ENGINEERS AND ARCHITECTS? Aren't these Counties violating FEMA rules & Fl Statutes regarding ENGINEERS AND ARCHITECTS allowable services?

@@peterwolff9864 it can be because the elevation numbers are wrong typically that's where we see it happened because it's not because of the diagram it usually because either the base flood elevation was used incorrectly. Some other elevation numbers are wrong or the wrong datum was used

@@FloodInsuranceGuru Actually, no. My EC's are always correct & accurate, more accurate than Surveyors. These Counties have an unjustified policy to reject EC's by Engineers & Architects, regardless. See Orange County published policy. Engineers & Architects establish all building elevations (w/o Surveyors) yet our FEMA EC'S are being rejected in Florida...

Are you aware that FEMA Elevation Certificates specifically state: ENGINEERS AND ARCHITECTS can complete all sections & certify?

@@peterwolff9864 yes it has to be done, typically by an engineer and architect or a surveyor. However, if the information is incorrect, or if they're not sealed or stamped, they can be refused.

Florida Counties are rejecting ENGINEERS & ARCHITECTS FEMA ELEVATION CERTIFICATES even when signed & sealed, and rejecting even when certified, and rejecting even when totally accurate, and even have published statements, "We do not accept FEMA EC's from Engineers & Architects." It's a total rejection of Engineers and Architects REGARDLESS...
