Elevator falls 3 floors at HCC injuring 2 people

There were two people who were injured after an elevator they were in fell three floors.

I managed a property and had problems with my "big name" elevator company. They were supposed to come out once a month to give the elevator a brief inspection. The problem was that they understaffed their technicians so much that they'd only come out when there was a problem with the elevator. When I called them for a problem, they always called me back and said that our regular technician was too busy. Could they send out someone else? I managed that building for a few years and even though I asked, I never met our regular technician. I finally cancelled their contract (in its cancellation window) and hired a company who would fulfill their contractual obligations. I suspect that this elevator company knew most managers just assumed the elevator company was doing their job. I even pointed it out to them several times, but being a very small fish, they really didn't care.

That's the same elevator that shakes when it moves. I can bet it's negligence, no proper maintenance.

Cannot trust to the point you need 2nd and 3rd party inspection after each repair. No trust in man anymore. Cannot take his word.
