Hey jimbo! Hope all is well friend! Everybody has a method to their madness, I would've turned up the heat and dual shield fluxed it. Plenty metal and plenty heat would've been no worries for sure then.

What about metal filing in the pump from deburring 4.05?😳😩imperial and metric collets for die grinder

Did the old die grinder have a metric 6mm collect in it? The Imperial 1/4" equivalent is actually 6.35mm.

Hope you cleaned out the pump after deburring that hole with the pipe on the flange?

That poor Victaulic 45. Also I install fire sprinkler systems and this is what we use every day. That looks like a 2 1/2 45° not a 2". I could be wrong. It says the size on the side.

Nice job and fun project! Just curious why they wouldn’t have used a threaded T instead? Easier/cheaper to weld it rather than buying threading tools you’ll never use again maybe?

I am learning to weld. first time I have seen someone weld multiple passes with different welding processes (mig, then stick; tig then stick, etc). I assume this is acceptable approach? for example, okay to use er70s-6 and then cover with E7018? any comments and info on this is appreciated.

He just said in the video that there is no pressure produced by the pump, It merely pushes oil.
