The Ozarks are definitely on my bucket list to get to someday! Great job filming it and making me want to get down there even more! So many places. So little time. And that damn "work" thing just keeps getting in the way ! Lol

If you can ever find just one day, you should float Aker's Ferry to Round Spring on the Current. Get an early start but during the rainy season, this segment is swift and you'll see some AMAZING springs and caves - heck Southern Paddler probably has multiple videos about it.

@rootwad thank you! My biggest problem is getting down there from up here in Mass..Hopefully .I'll get there at some point and spend a few weeks down there!

@@thepeacerunners I can relate! There's a program on Canoe Poling by Maine Guide Lisa DeHart taht i'd love to attend but it would take me *days* to get to up there.

Not sure where the link to the song went to, but I did see it (YT had flagged it, probably because of the link). I did listen to it and had not heard it, but it certainly applied!! LOL!!

Another Great Trip! & The water IS gorgeous!! The only time it gets that clear on the Choctawhatchee down here, is when there's been no rain for a month or two!

Thank you, Keith!! It had been dry for a while there when we did this trip, so that along with being predominantly spring-fed made that water beautiful!!

I love this river so much. Would love to get up by Cane Bluff again but i think the water is too low this season. 5:49 I LOVE standing! It's not for everyone or every canoe, but in my 17' aluminum tanks, i ride most of the way standing. I do drop down for the class IIs, or a dog leg / strainer so i can stay stable. Just as you said though, feels good to stand up just for a second and pick a line.

This is a fantastic river! I hate we couldn't start at Cane Bluff, but like you said it's been pretty low there for a while. Fortunately, I can stand in my ol' fiberglass Saranac (16ft) too and it's helpful when trying to pick the right line!! :)
