Yea, in fact I think this is the game that a lot of Ohio State fans said they thought OSU would lose. The armchair QBs said "honestly I don't think we will win. We've shown susceptibility to the run and Wisconsin has a strong run game. Plus we're on our 3rd string QB." This was the day (this and the 3 game stretch) that made me completely stop listening to fans (whether it be praise or criticism).

Anthony Doan The segment of his sentence that you had mentioned is correct; he used the conjunction "I've" to mean "I have" so the "seen" is correct. You could have mentioned his lack of a subject in the second sentence that could be deemed incorrect and made that your focus. Ironically, you missed several marks of punctuation in your "correction" to create a terribly written sentence fragment. Even with those punctuation marks, you did not have a noun outside of a prepositional phrase to make this fragment a complete sentence.

Ohio State was a 4 point underdog against Wisconsin....Do you think Vegas sports books had that wrong? Then, Alabama started as an 11 point favorite against the Buckeyes but the line settled around Alabama by 8.5. Then Oregon was around a 9 point favorite which dropped to around a TD difference by game time. Now, I'm no expert...well, I am, but that isn't important. I'd just like to say that in total, at game times, Ohio State was a total underdog by 20.5 points (depending on who you asked) and won those 3 games by a total of 88 points. I think that Ohio State was underrated just a little bit, don't you? Don't fool yourself, Ohio State even beat Alabama much worse than the 7 point victory showed. In Ohio State's last 3 games, none of their opponents were big, strong, or fast enough to deal with Ohio State. AND JUST THINK...Baylor and TCU were pissed because Ohio State jumped into the #4 spot. Baylor and TCU both had very good teams and very good seasons...but no team in the country besides Ohio State could have beaten Wisconsin 59-0. Wisconsin entered that game with the #4 scoring defense and the #2 defense overall. The Buckeyes did score 7 points on defense, but still...that means that the Bucks put 52 points on maybe the best defense in the country and kept the best RB in the country quiet, dealing him his worst game of the season and giving up ZERO points. People still have this Ohio State championship as a "Cinderella story". NEWSFLASH to all haters...Ohio State beat a team with a top 3 defense and the best RB in CFB 59-0. Then they backed that up by beating Alabama much more convincingly than the 7 point victory showed...after that though, against Oregon, Oregon scored 7 points after just 2:39 into the game. After that, Oregon's high powered offense scored just 13 points in the games final 57:21. If ever was a team just simply better than all others, it was the 2014 Ohio State Buckeyes. And they did it while everyone in the country watched and believed ESPN idiots instead of WATCHING the Buckeyes play. I promise to all non-believers and people that want to call this all a huge fluke, that if you guys had watched the Buckeyes play this season, lots of you would have said that Ohio State was the favorites to win it all. Ohio State has had Heisman winners, won multiple national titles in their 100+ years and overall may be the best team in the history of college football....and this 2014 Buckeye squad had a great defense plus the best offense by the numbers that they had EVER had in their entire history. People shouldn't have been surprised at all...but most of you just watch ESPN and listen to their so-called analysts way too much. Ohio State was 9th in total offense and scored just 3 fewer TD's than Oregon did on the season. Ohio State was 19th in total defense (which is calculated by total yards given up) but faced 100-200 more plays than the teams that finished ahead of them in that category. The big difference though is that ESPN had the entire country believing the Big Ten was weak...when all was said and done, the Big Ten was probably better than even the SEC as a conference. If everyone had done a little research and listened to ESPN less, a lot of people would have considered Ohio State the favorites going into the playoffs. Stats aren't everything, but they don't lie....and there is no possible way to prove what conference plays the best football. The majority of CFB fans thought the Big Ten shouldn't have even been included in the "Power 5" conferences...but the better teams from the Big Ten showed the Big Ten's true strength in bowl games. DON'T LISTEN TO ESPN. One SEC writer said that Ohio State was the 8th best team in the SEC (if they were an SEC team, of course). That man is still pulling his feet out of his mouth.
@MPetrozzaIsGod9 жыл бұрын
Yeah, sorry bout the novel (like always...I just don't know when to shut up). When it comes to CFB though, I am one of those "awful" Buckeye fans. The Buckeyes simply were the best team in CFB in 2014-2015, and were given credit for doing what was considered "unthinkable" to accomplish. If you watched the Buckeyes play and saw how they were a solid team that just got better and better (especially after their O-line got solid and Zeke started shredding teams), you would surely have given them a decent chance at winning 2 games in a 4 team playoff. In addition to that, and even Urban Meyer may have agreed with this as he called Ezekiel Elliott "the best RB in the nation" after the season was over...Ezekiel Elliott may have deserved the Heisman. Numbers aren't everything, of course, but Elliott, along with the OL, got better and better..... and at the season's end, Zeke WAS the best player in the nation in my own biased opinion. Sure, he didn't have the season that Melvin Gordon III had, but Gordon had 76 yards on 26 carries with a long of just 13 yards against a Buckeye defense that wasn't thought of as one of the top defenses in the country (for some unknown reason that probably has to do with ESPN's biased asses)....And Zeke ran for 220 yards on 20 carries with 2TD's and a long run of 81 yards (yes....5 yards more that Gordon had on his 26 total carries) against a Wisconsin defense that supposedly was as tough as it gets. OK....shutting up now. Go Bucks! Sorry haters. Just sorry because I know the truth and I know how the truth can hurt.

MPetrozzaIsGod Great comment man. This was a dream season for an Ohio State fans. I remember watching them lose in week 2 thinking that if they win every game they could make the playoffs and I believed they could just from know how much talent they had outside of the QB position. I watched them inch closer to every week and watched them battle through tough games that came down to the wire and watch DIFFERENT players step up to win the game. Jalin Marshall in the Indiana game, Bosa in the Penn State scare, Elliot in the Bama game. The best thing about the season was I got to watch the Buckeyes hand it to college programs I dislike the most. Michigan State for ruining the 2013 season, Wisconsin for many years before, Bama for being the top SEC program, and Oregon for being the top PAC 12 program. And after the season the regular season was over I loved watching Michigan State hand it to Baylor and watching Wisconsin hand it to Auburn to confirm the dominance of the Big Ten in 2014. The fact that they won the FIRST college playoffs with the THIRD string QB speaks wonders. This is the most perfect season you could ever ask for and I doubt I will see another this great in my life time. As I post this comment, it's about 2 weeks away from the 2015 season start, with Wisconsin taking on Bama in week one, Michigan St. going against Oregon in week 2 and the Buckeyes revenging their only loss in 2014 against VT. Go Buckeyes and go Big Ten!!!!!

Ah! Such good memories!! I didn’t really realize how bad we beat them until watching now!! Lmao. Such an amazing story that year ended up being!!

Watch the play at 8:20 when Cardale Jones dodges a tackle coming right at him FROM BEHIND! If that’s a play made by your 3rd choice QB then you better with the National Championship Cz you deserve every bit of it!

My brother and sister-in-law picked their wedding day for this day, and they figured after the VA Tech loss that it'd be fine, no chance this would be a conflict. Then after the UM game, were scared people would be sad since there's no way they'd be able to win with a third string QB. We all stood and cheered at the tv next to the dance floor all night. Talk about a fun celebration.

I’m being nostalgic I know, but how insane was that 2014 OSU title team. Zeke. Bosa. Thomas. Lee. Samuel. Sick ...

I thought nothing would top how good it felt to win this game, but after we won the NCG in 2014, the whole campus area was euphoric. I high fived about 200 people. Everyone on High St. was euphoric, girls were flashing their tits, people were yelling their heads off. It was a cold night but we all felt warm. On that night the school felt like one big family, and that's when I realized what Buckeye Nation was all about. There were undercovers going around saying shit like "guys, dont burn that couch please." I saw some literal dumpster fires. People were screaming Fuck Michigan, Fuck the Ducks, etc. Drunk people were crying from happiness. Drunk people were singing Buckeye songs. I've never been prouder to be a Buckeye. Some of my professors made class the next day optional (da real MVPs). It was one of the best nights of my life - I will never forget this team or this school. 12 GAUGE BABYYYYYY. Also, shoutout to Vtech fans that partied with us and wiped our tears after that loss lmao. Yall were fun.

I think there are 5-6 guys on this team from the 2013 recruiting class that now play or start in the NFL. Insane the amount of talent that was on this team from just one recruiting class, let alone the rest of the team.

Badgers still looking for a way to beat the Buckeyes. This was an amazing year, but beating them twice in 2019 may have been more impressive.

I was front row 50 yard line talking to Braxton, JT (on his scooter) and Wilson. I wish we could see this team against 2019 LSU and 2020 Alabama. All incredible championship teams, but this defense against those two offenses would be so fun to watch. Even the 2019 OSU team who I think were better than Clemson against LSU (one of the best college teams ever) would’ve been a great game to watch. I still think Alabama has the best CFP championship team ever, but LSU 2019 was insane, with an OSU transfer because of an injured hand that put him behind Haskins. I love College Football and think 2014 OSU, 2019 LSU, 2015 Bama team were the best. I’m not counting 2020 because of the crazy Covid protocols even though they had (not even counting Mac Jones, because he was a product of Najee, Williams, Smith, Metchie, Bolden, and Waddle for the last game) perhaps 3 of the top 20 Alabama players ever. I think Ohio State offense will be top 5 ever in 2021/2022/2023. Let’s see how this ages. Go Bucks, and for college football love of the game, Go Sooners, Roll Tide, and F Clemson and Dabo Sleezy.

McMillan wore (#2) because Heuerman switched back to( #5) and both of them were on special teams together so they had to have different numbers.The NCAA will let offensive and defensive players have the same number since they are not on the field at the same time together-Heuerman switched his original number (#86)to honor Braxton after he was lost for the season.Heuerman wore his original number( #86) for senior day at the Horseshoe and then switched back to( #5) for the rest of this season.
