It’s not random to get a free cruise. You collect points for every roll on slot machines and after a certain points increment, you can redeem for free cruise. They leave you a letter at your room to tell you that you are now eligible. You can also earn points at table games but less.

I have been playing slots for 50 years. If the machine doesn’t hit in 3 spins, cash out and change machines. You were betting $5 a spin on a penny machine? You should play dollar slots. My late husband was a high roller. He played mostly craps and blackjack. We received a lot of comps but very little on cruise ships.

Interesting you say that. I have been on machines that were very hot. On one cruise I blew through about $5,000 but received a total of 35 handpays. Another cruise I blew through $5,000 on a cold machine with only one handpay. The machines have a mind of its own and pays out only when it wants to. The drum machine ive gotten a number of bonuses but I had to dump like a few hundred into it. Also sounds very unlikely but in one night I hit the major for $800 three times. Other times you mostly get mini or minor. However budgeting $300 dollars is typically not going to cut it. If you want a free cruise, try to go for the annual interior cruise award which is at 2,500 points. The award is given in April to use just about anytime during that year.

You need 2,500 tier credits for a free interior cabin and 5,000 for a balcony. That’s about 20x the amount of coin in you ran through the machine. If you’re ever curious, you can ask a casino host how close you are to the threshold.

Kyle if you’re after casino offers the cruise lines are looking most at total time spent in the casino, not necessarily the dollar amount gambled. Stretching out the $300 by better lower amounts, even the minimum, is what will give you the best chance at receiving an offer. I’d imagine playing machines closer to the walkways might have a higher chance too because they’re more visible (basically you’re advertising the casino for them) - the cruise lines closely guard their secrets on the offers so this part is a bit harder to figure out. But time spent is a definite thing.

I spend all sea days in Casino with wife for several hours each day. She play slots, I play table games. Hour after hour. I have been offered free drinks, but really stupid because I always buy drink package, beside only good in casino. Dont let these bloggers fool you, unless you spend thousands your free cruise is not free!

You cannot possibly believe that they are going to give you a free cruise or even some certificates after only spending $300 in the casino. You do know that they have a point system and after spending perhaps 1500 in the casino, THEN you'll get a "free" cruise. Please don't tell your viewers incorrect information. I just call it a prepayment on another cruise. Oh, and they don't randomly just give out certificates either. You earn them with your play, i.e. money gambled.

It all depends on your status with royal carribean too and how often you cruise. My S/O and I only gamble about $100 a night and get anywhere from 500-1000 and have been getting offers for over 2 years. He’s diamond status though. I think you should start with smaller bets and don’t play on port days. On international waters they can control machines and they aren’t going to pay out with everyone out on the island. Go play low amounts when the casino is busy

Kyle as you prob. know we only sail Disney. At 60 it's hard to find friends that want to cruise and then to find them to cruise disney is a hard task. What we have managed to do over all our DCL Cruising is make friends on the ships and they cruise when we cruise. We are all cruise friends from around on the country and even other countries. It's a huge think always seeing them again. We just normally Dine with them and maybe have at the ports for a while with them. Fun stuff, it adds to the excitement of the cruise for us to see friends we made on DCL! I won't cruise another cruise line! EVER! So wez hardcore DCL.

When I was on a recent cruise an old guy taught me how to earn points quickly in the casino using the E roulette wheel. I’m gonna try it on my next cruise.

That’s basically a horizontal slot machine with predictable volatility so it makes sense. And anything electronic is something a cruise line can track time at best making points easier to earn. Video poker would likely also be a better way to generate points than actual live poker. Casinos are interesting like that - there are games you can play for better direct odds of winning, and then there are the electronic games of chance that aren’t as good at that but they generate more rewards points and so are better if you’re looking for those offers.

Kyle....I sat and watched your whole Allure experience. RCCL has always been my favorite cruise line. I REALLY enjoyed it and feel like I have just gotten back from a cruise. My husband and I used to sail on Royal exclusively. He passed away in 2012 so many great memories. His last wish was to go on 1 last cruise. I made sure we did in Dec of 2011. He was gone Feb 24th. My friend gets offers from NCL so have done them with her. Last year had to have open heart valve replacement and haven't bounced back very well, ...having shortness of breath with minimal exertion. Always do the max bet. Then if you are starting to feel bad about not getting a bonus, keep hitting the spin button and you will eventually hit it. Throw a few hundred in, maybe even a thousand and you'll get something. Dancing drums in my opinion has a pretty good payout. You just don't gamble enough. You end up getting a lot of your money back indirectly if they offer you free cruises. But you definitely have to gamble more than $300.00

I’ve been on 37 cruises and do gamble at their casinos. I found that the machines pay better the first day or 2 . It’s their way of getting you to play more. After that it’s a losing situation. And it becomes more enjoyment than winning. Bet more when leaving and less coming back.
