I remember playing both of these games as a kid, and there are "story's" behind each of the games. The first one elves go on strike, so to teach them a lesson santa uses them as bowling pins. The second one Dingle, Santa's brother, is tired of selling used Ice and wants to be father Christmas, so they play a game of shuffle board to find out who gets to be father christmas. I also played it on Desktop and there were a few Easter eggs, in one the is a bunny and a frog that hop on to the bowling ally, I never got the rabbit but you can squish the frog. Also if you get the pointer all the way over to the left on yellow when the dear is there, the ball will actually go in the gutter pop out and hit the dear on the head. In the second one the ice berg on the right would have penguins on it and you could shoot them and the game would keep track, you could also shoot a hole in the iceberg to make it sink.

I watched my dad play Elf Bowling when I was a child...and I played it too...and that was back when I thought the computer monitor was the actual computer because the monitor was SO LARGE, why else would it be that large, you know? I didn't know anything about...cathode ray tubes or whatever...that's how young I was. I played this game when it wasn't even close to Christmas. And I remember cackling when the thing would accidentally rip their heads off. Anyway now I'm a senior in college for Game Design and Development. XD

I'm sure someone mentioned it before and not that it really matters, just for curiosity/information's sake, but well, the two player game is Elf Bowling 2, at least that's how they were labeled when I downloaded them years ago onto my computer from the official website. Also, the PC version seems to be better than the one you guys were playing. The shuffleboard, knocking-the-other-elves-off effect actually works much better and in real time and the video/cutscene of the game zooming down the deck of the ship is much better and more accurate. I was sad that your version wasn't like mine in that aspect cuz it would have been even more enjoyable for you guys to play... though still only marginally so. These games are still only amusing for short periods. heh. OH, and the "curving" effect of the last level on the 2-player game was due to the rocking of the ship. If you'll notice in the video, as each level progresses, the stick-drawing of the ship in the middle of the screen rocks left-to-right-to-left a little harder. So that explains why the elves weren't shooting straight anymore. *grin* Nobody gives a crap, I'm sure... but thought I'd say stuff.. jabber, jabber, jabber.

riddleman65 because it's impossible to be a musician and gamer. You see, Danny is in fact a gamer, but by the time the GBA came out he was beyond wanting a portable console. In fact he started as early as the comodore 64 iirc, and I dare say he's more of a gamer than some of the others on the show. Game Grumps now is a comedy show about the video game they're playing, and two best friends sharing their life stories and points of view. Not just Arin and Jon arguing every other episode about mundane shit. Arin and Danny almost never get in fights, and even if Danny is an ex-pothead, at least he's not an alcoholic like Jon.

all of the Elf Bowling games (there's actually 3 of them) were originally for PC. sort of like an internet game that you'd find on Miniclip or Kongregate, but more like one of those mini downloaded games you could get (I forget what program I would get it from, as well as Super Collapse). well, the first one was like that, Elf Bowling 2 and 3 may have been CD-roms. you can actually buy the trilogy pack as a CD-rom. Elf Bowling 3 is pretty messed up, too. and in the original Elf Bowling, the elves would lose their heads sometimes (and would sometimes fall over when they did), they would moon you, flip you the bird, and the reindeer would sometimes run onto the lane (if you hit it, good luck getting a strike or finishing your spare, but you would kill it)

The two games on this collection are actually freeware in the first place. Meant as little more than a momentary distraction. Part of the reason this thing is so terrible is that it's a commercial release with absolutely no additions to it.
