Sharing swatches and thoughts on the new Elf Glow Reviver Glimmer Finish Lip Oils.
Shade Descriptions:
PRINCESS CUT - Neutral light pink with a noticeable amount of medium sized silver sparkles. Lots of sparkle sticks behind on the lip as I go to remove the product. A dry tissue doesn’t remove all of it easily… a makeup wipe makes it easier to get it completely off. Gives off a noticeably sparkly finish. I barely feel the glimmer in this one if I press my lips together. It’s not bothersome at all. This shade is quite close to my natural lip color.
SUPER-NEUTRAL - Light warm peachy pink with lots of fine shimmer. The glimmer in this one is smaller and much easier to remove with just a dry tissue. Gives off a satiny-gloss finish. I can’t feel the shimmer in this one at all. This one gives my lips a slight warmth but not much added depth.
OPAL-OGY TOUR - Clear gloss with lots of fine silvery blue shimmer and a some larger, deeper blue glitter particles. I can feel the glitter but I don’t find it annoying. Gives a noticeable bluish sparkly sheen. Wiping this off with a dry tissue leaves behind some of those larger sparkles. This one does not add much color/depth except for the faint blue sheen.
DIVINE WINE - Sheer purplish-berry gloss with fine shimmer and some larger glitter-sized purple flecks. I can feel the larger particles, similar to the ones in the previous shade. There are not enough of them and they are not gritty enough to be bothersome to me. Maybe it’s because of the added pigment in this one, but I don’t notice the shimmer/glimmer a whole lot in the finish of this one. It has a nice amount of shine/reflect though. Adds a bit of depth and cools down the tone of my natural lip color. Some of the glitter is left behind if I wipe it off with a dry tissue.
CRYSTAL BALLER - Clear gloss with VERY noticeable silvery-nude glimmer. The particles in this are fairly small, somewhere between fine shimmer and small sparkle. Definitely not as large as some of the glitter in the other shades. I feel the particles a tiny bit if I press my lips together. It’s barely noticeable, especially considering how “blingy” this particular shade is. If you are really after a sparkly gloss, this is the one to go for. Some of the sparkle sticks to the lips after I wipe it off with a dry tissue.
CANDY CODED - Sheer pale pink gloss larger pink and blue glitter-sized sparkles. I feel them a tiny bit. Doesn’t add much color/depth on my skintone. Glimmer is noticeable on the lips from a normal distance. Small amount of larger sparkle stays behind after wiping it off with a dry tissue.
CITRINE GLEAM - Clear gloss with lots of pale gold sparkle. I hardly feel the sparkle. Not a super warm/yellowy gold and still works on my skintone.
CHOCOLUXE - Sheer light brown gloss with rosy pink shimmer and larger golden sparkles. This one is pretty sheer and doesn’t add a whole lot of color but does neutralize the red tones in my lips while adding the slightest bit of depth. Glimmer is somewhat noticeable but not as much as some of the other shades. I barely feel any of the grit on my lips in this one.
