As a vet tech, I can tell you that it is way weirder than you think. Declawing kittens is a full-on surgical procedure that requires a surgical suite and either a vet tech or vet assistant to be performed properly, and it needs to be performed by a veterinarian. And... a secretary... is going to perform this eight times? In a camper? Without any experience? And she's going to spend all of that time and all those medical supplies... and she's not going to charge? Not to mention the fact that if a declawing is performed incorrectly, well... Let's just say that if even part of the bone the claw grows out from is left in there, the cat's feet can get really messed up.
