I got into art I got into elfquest I got into Comics all because of Elf Quest I used to copy the pictures in the elfquest graphic novels I had all the original four graphic novels and they were stolen from me a long time ago and they were my prized possessions. I'm crying right now thinking about it.... I was emotionally attached to these characters like no other. When I read this comment I was in there were literally. As a kid I was an outcast and I felt loved through this comic book I cannot explain enough how much it changed my life when I was young.

As an aspie kid who was punished for my symptoms, EQ gave me the an escape that made life tolerable.. and managed to spark a lifelong love of art, nature, and a KEEN sense of empathy... These two people taught me how to see, how to think, and how to feel like a worthwhile human being. I can't imagine my life without EQ, and wouldn't want to imagine it, even for a minute.

This comic book changed my life when I was young. I was emotionally attached to these characters I got in the comic books due to these characters. I got into art due to the art and elfquest. I still do art to this day. And I credit elfquest and Wendy and Richard Pini. These Comics were stolen from me I had the four original graphic novels from the 80s all four of them and they were stolen from me and they were my prized possessions. I'm crying right now thinking about it. I'm can't afford to re-buy them so yeah I feel like I lost a part of me. This comic I cannot explain enough how good this comic is you will be in the world reading this comic

Good for them! Was never a fan of the book myself, but to have a comic that's run off and on for 40 years is an achievement worth celebrating. And that Valiant Harbinger issue is probably my favorite and I almost always use it as an example of how Faith has been more or less Flanderized in the reboot

Ooooh...if only they could just find a way to have the original quest reissued in colour! I gave away ALL my elfquest issues except the one that I felt I needed to keep, although it's not my favourite: "Dreamtime". Even to this day at age 39, i reread it in times of despair. But how I wish to have my 'original quest' books back. Fire and Flight all the way up to the War for the Palace and return of Timmain....what a story, what artwork. But it's all in black and white, now.

I kinda want to see that Triton piece. If I hadn't gotten hooked on EQ during the original run, I would never have gone to 84 WorldCon (as Bearclaw), met a woman in the autograph line who invited me to join her Star Trek writing club....and therefore would never have met my wife of almost 3 decades. So thanks, Richard, for writing that letter to Silver Surfer!

I didn't get into Elfquest when it started out, probably wouldn't have been able to even if I wanted because getting non-big two comics wasn't really easy for me back in the day. Then one day I saw a trade at a 2nd hand store, and although I've never read Elquest, I've heard of it's existance. So with my curiosity to find out what it's about I bought it, and fell in love with it. However there was still the problem of me obtaining more of their comics. Come the last few years, with Dark Horse collecting the entire saga from start to it's finish. And I could finally fully jump into it. And it's been amazing. Great comics made by two apparantly very loveable people, what more can you ask for.

I remember reading this series back in jr. high school. The 4 graphic trades where in the school library. I don't think the Librarians read it for the amount of blood and sexuality in the books. Now I still collect and own alot of the older issues and other spin off series. My favorite is Jink.

I still have all my comics- mint condish, from Warp graphics limited series in black n white, Marvel series all the way through Siege at Blue Mt. I sold all my other comics, even Daredevil. Lost it somewhere in New Blood, it wasn't the same without the Pini touch. Still, I played and still have the roll playing game, graphic novel series, and I read all the Blood of Ten Chiefs books. It was like Cutter was me in another dimension. I even look exactly the same face-wise. My parents look the same, but mom is actual redhead not strawberry blonde. It is uncanny. It was like she was spying on my life and constructing a comic book about my dreams. The story of the Wolfriders will always feel like my own secret history. Shade and Sweetwater!

The roll playing game... so choice! I made hundreds of elves. I had a Wolfrider tribe that ran 60 deep. DREAMSINGER was my character. I make magic when I sing... There is no other comic book that ever elevated beyond the National Epic in child-friendly comic format... until Elf Quest. This is why Atlas Shrugged in my case, the rest of the world is going crazy for pokemon and stupid shit like that. And I'm over here living in a tree, asking them wtf is a pokey-man? HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT THIS AWESOME ART THAT THEY PUT IN A COMIC BOOK? POKEMON!?!?! HOW IS ELF QUEST NOT THE MOST VIRAL, POPULAR THING ON EARTH?!?!?!
