I dunno what the anime creators were doing roughing Roberts up like that at the end. She was bruised up, maybe had an arm on a cast if I remember but she was fully intact n no loss of limbs (not even a finger.) Well to be fair tho, I bet she'd still cause hell as an amputatee regardless.

fun fact, the animation director was so intimidated by Roberta in the manga that they actual GAVE her injuries to make her seem more human and less of a monster (I use 'monster' metaphorically)

Roberta was genuinely terrifying. For the entire show, Revy is portrayed as being pretty much unbeatable, casually mowing through hordes of enemies without ever seeming to be under threat. But then Roberta shows up and you genuinely think "yeah, she could totally kill Revy."

So, some fun facts Revy's shoes are always untied, so she doesn't fall for the trick. And she still fell for it. Lotton, the guy that got kicked in the nuts by Roberta, has a whole joke around him, where he's somehow always prepared for everything despite having the IQ of a brick. He was wearing a metal codpiece, since in his line of work, nutshots and shots to the nuts were pretty much expected, and Roberta's kick still hurt him. And finally, in the manga, Roberta didn't lose any eyes or limbs at all. She only had a few cuts and bruises but that's it.

Roberta’s umbrella gun is literally just a SPAS 12 with an umbrella attached to the end of it. Technically speaking, one could make one irl with minimal modifications.
