I decided to come back to making gaming lore videos for fun, and to start with I want to cover as much Assassin's Creed stuff as I can. Im aiming for 1 a week and plan to just start with Assassin;s Creed, but I am interested in revamping things like my Resident Evil and MGS videos and such. This is going to be different though as I intend to hit ALL the extra media, so Novels, Comics, Extra Media and such. Let me know if your one of our old subscribers before we tried other ideas, Also if you are looking for the old videos, the Listcussions or the DND< they are unlisted. I'll leave the playlists, but I didnt want them visible if I just wanted to use my old channel for my own fun passion project.

I started AC properly with Irigins and had zero clue about any of this. You can imagine how much my mind was blown when I first went under the Sphinx and found the first ISU stuff. I literally had to stop playing. I spent the next few days hunting through Egypt trying to find out more about this story. I had no idea if it was ancient, future, different dimensions, aliens. @@Sosa_freed i'm not talking about anime, i'm talking about the Mesopotamian mythology. Ea/Enki is the head/invisible force of Gilgamesh Epic, he sees Gilgamesh like a narcisist hybrid demi-god and he creates Enkidu to make him realize the value of responsability and friendship. So I think that Ea was the reason of Gilgamesh searching everlasting life in his journey. What If the "Me Tablets" where Isu tech, and If Ea was Jupiter or another Isu creating hybrids. And the "Athrahasis" where Enki saves Utnapishtim (Noah) from the Flood. Then Gilgamesh go to Utnapishtim to adquire knowlegde about inmortality, that was all influenced by Ea's decision making. So I think in the Lore that GOT Something to do, at least they wanted to overlook the primal inspiration of their franchise and lose one of their biggest opportunities to fix the lore, giving realism to the search of the Templars, and the mission of the Creed.

And while the Isu storyline is confusing as hell, you definitely made it a bit easier to understand. Although it also feels like you skipped a bit with Minerva and Juno. Maybe something you could go a bit more in depth with in a future video? (Edited a spelling error) Loved this, and looking forward for more. Also, side note: Take a shot whenever Benny says Isu.

Juno in general is going to be an entire video, so her direct issues with Minerva will come up. Juno was the original plot for like 11 games, then 12 comics. So her story is something of its own. The purpose of this video was just to clarify the overall Isu plot itself, not all the little plots that came out of these goals. (Shroud, Valhalla, Staff, Juno, that kind of thing) Originally i was going to put it ALL into this one video, but the raw audio was reaching 35 minutes before we cleaned it up so I figured this is enough for one video lol

its great that you like the new direction and rewrite of ac lore but i personably disagree. both gameplay and lore was relatively grounded in our own reality, and the isu was the answer and the "real" reason to why humans have historicaly been religous and believed in magic and the supernatural, and why people and leaders of the world have always strived for power. the departure from this in both gameplay and lore to have actual superpowers and the isu being gods or godlike beings takes away the feeling of what if that was OUR reality and deep philosofical and existential questions that the lore of ac provided.

The Gnostic text also known as the Nag Hammadi scrolls ( which have been redacted purposely from the biblical canon) are heavily used in the AC story line, in Valhalla Fulke tells Eivor about the Demiurge and the Archons, as well as Mithras. The Gnostic text explains the creation story as well as Adam and Eve being manipulated by the Archons and the Demiurge. The AC story is by far the most truth dropping game I’ve ever played, whoever the writer(s) are are pretty well versed in the hidden mysteries of the ancient histories/relegions, Isu is somewhat the equivalent to Sophia in the Gnostic text, which in Greek means wisdom, also the story of Prometheus is being applied here as well. Whoever wrote the AC story has really done their homework.

Your explanation was very good and you are the first one who to mention like there is many sections of isu I watched a couple of exploration videos about the precursor race but no one had mentioned the trio June or Jupiter, and manner of a lot better than you. You know in five minutes and also explained why there is mythology in the game.

I've personally never really liked the Isu or the Precursors. Seeing an idea of what History could have been like or the "why" something may have happened, when talking about the more supernatural parts of history, is generally interesting. But I generally feel that they take away from the game's scope when it comes to depth. It's a problem in a lot of titles when you can point at something and say "this is where it came from/ this is what caused it" and when dealing with the differing gods of the many cultures that have spanned Human History... it can really feel hollow and at times dismissive to have a "ah, this is the answer" for beings that were created to explain what was then, the unexplainable. Still, the video was really well done. Great job compiling and explaining a lot of the jumbled parts of the lore.

Man am I glad I stopped playing the games after 3 when Desmond died. I heard Black Flag was really good but I couldn't be arsed to keep investing. Considering Juno's story was relegated to comic and how crazy it got, I'm completely validated in that decision in my mind.

I highly suggest playing most of the games for the actual historical side of things. I own the entire franchise but never spent more than $50 on a game because I wait for it to be on sale. Specifically black flag was only $10 with the DLC recently, And most of the games can be bought for $20-$40 if you get lucky and find a bundle deal. Just ignore the Isu parts if they're really that much of a deal breaker for you (which is totally fair, I'm debating on dropping the franchise because of how confusing it all is getting)

Is this the comicstorian? great video very useful. I have one question though that I’m sure someone in the comments can answer but those scene with Odin at that table what are they from I’ve played all of the main game of Valhalla so I’m guessing one of the dlc?

Thats....a lot. Wow. Thank you so much for this video, it explained many things and I cannot wait to see what Loki is going to do in th future. I'm still unsure if he is a villain, hero or some kind of anti-hero in this whole plot. We shall see.

Welcome to the channel! Ignore some of those older videos, they are slowly going to be removed as I improve and fix a bunch. But as for your Sage question, thats Juno's husband. I'll be making a video on the Sages and Resurrections soonish (I have the Daniel Cross story next week and wanted to explain the 6 Apples of Eden first) The Basim/Loki and Eivor/Odin resurrections are actually separate from the Sage resurrections though.

@@EligibleMonsterAre they tho (Asgard Sages)? We only know what Valhalla told us. For all we know, they could have been reborn before or even after. Their DNA was introduced into the human DNA gene pool so it is possible. All the Aita Sages only had the memories of ISU Aita, never the memories of their past human lives.

Yknow this plot is a little bit like Halo. The assassins are the UNSC. Desmond and Layla are kinda like Spartans (their blood / lineage makes them the “chosen ones”) the isu are the fore runners, they have ancient hi tech artifacts and the templars are the covenant, they want to wield the artifacts of isu for their own benefit, or to their lesser counterparts, elevate them to heaven.

AC Odyssey (specifically the fate of Atlantis DLC) Left me completely confused with the isu. I am so lost now that I'm tempted to drop the franchise, it was so much easier and more simple when I could just toss any plot holes into either the "the Animus is buggy" or "the isu were too advanced to understand" bins. Hopefully this video clears some of it up
