I absolutely *LOVE* Elijah Mikaelson. So wonderfully complex. He'd gone through a lot, and I think he's genuinely underrated in a way. I really like how you showed every side of him in this video. The love, the betrayal, the anger, just all of it. I miss this man, I miss the Mikaelson's. I love that Elijah always had faith in his family, despite the several times they'd fought against one another, despite the several times they'd shown him otherwise. Both Joseph and Daniel wanted their character's death to be from the other's hand. And if you think about it there could never be a perfect ending than there mutual deaths to this story. It is sad like really sad but it was perfect. I know a lot of fans including me wanted the show to last longer but if I can't think of a better ending for Klaus and Elijah than this. It started with their bond it ended with their bond.

The writers really tried to ruin the most perfect character ever in the last season, in the end he died while being seen as nothing more than the person who was responsible for her mother's death by Hope, and she remained totally clueless about the fact that Elijah was the reason she was born, because if you remember in season 1, klaus wanted the witches to kill hayley and the baby inside but it was Elijah who actually did everything to make sure that Hope is born, plus the fact that her name is chosen because of Elijah, the way he loved her mother with the purest love while never actually having the chance to enjoy their love, the writers really humiliated his character in the final season, with Hayley not loving him because of what he used to do 500+ years ago which doesn't make sense since he had already changed and was already feeling guilt and regret for the things he used to do, but he had changed and at least Hayley should have been able to see that since she was the main reason of his change, I mean Elena forgave Damon of what he used to do and even forgave a lot of other awful things he did while being with her just because she loved him no matter what and because she knew that she was making him a better person everyday, so I don't know why the writers couldn't let Hayley do the same, I mean Elijah deserved most of all to have a little bit of joy in his life after all the hardships he had endured. Now he's dead, never got the chance to get a glimse of joy with Hayley, his niece thinks of him as a monster while he was the complete opposite, and in the end it looked like nobody was really sad about Elijah dying which is totally unfair to him. Plus they never even showed him giving Hayley the dance he owed her in the afterlife or at least had shown that they finally found peace with each other and would finally get the chance to enjoy their love. I will never forgive the writers or directors or whoever decided to make so much injustices to the best moral, inspirational, just and kind hearted character in both TVD and TO.

Did they really honor Elijah the way he deserved? They honored everyone else. Elijah deserved Hope's love. She deserved to know the lines Elijah crossed to ensure her safety. They should've shown why Elijah made Marcel to take away his memories and it was to protect Hope. I mean that was a hell of a sacrifice. Erasing the love of his love, his vow and his family for Hope. Elijah was the one of the most powerful vampires in the world and of his family. Even though he was 1000s years old and not a Hydrid like Niklaus he still stood a chance against anyone who threaten his family. He dead, but his legacy still loves on in those who admired him. I admire for his devotion to stand by with his family to end. He stands with all of them, Niklaus, Freya, Hayley, Kol, Finn, Rebekah, even Marcel. He loves Marcel as family too despite their differences and all he's done. Especially Hope and Hayley because of his love for her and love and devotion to protect Hope. Elijah Mikaelson was one of the most fearless and powerful vampires in the Vampire Diaries universe.
