Mayes Yeshua is referring to the role of Eliyahu (Elijah) fulfilled in John, as the angel told Zechariah: Luke 1:13-17 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. The angel Gavriel is alluding to Malachi’s prophecy here: Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. Yochanan (John) came in the spirit of Elijah in the 1st century AD. Note that Gabriel mentions turning the hearts of the fathers to the children , as mentioned in Malachi. John would be the harbinger of Mashiach initial presentation to Israel, as the “voice of one crying in the wilderness “ (Isaiah 40). Mashiach’s second presentation to Israel will be heralded by Elijah (and a second person most likely) : Revelation 11:4-6 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. Note the rain being held back. The two witnesses prophecy for 42 months or 1260 days = 3 years and 6 months..exactly how long the rain was withheld during Elijah’s ministry. He will turn the hearts of Israel again to the Living God, and His Messiah Yeshua, as the false messiah intends to deceive them (as Jezebel did with Ba’al - Lord/Master in Hebrew).

Jacob thanku so very very much...True Drought for the word in the land...America in 1963, Madelyn O'Hare an atheist through the Supreme Court, Had the Bibles removed from the teachers desk and prayer from the public school. I believe it was 1972 Abortion passed supreme Court and made this legal in the land, 2015 Supreme Court legalized Gay marriage. Mr Prasch is right when he says that Elijah prefigured John the Baptist and Elisha prefigured Jesus. But there is one more thing we must consider- that ELIJAH also prefigured Christ and Elisha, the twelve apostles. For Elijah had the Spirit of God and was taken up to Heaven in a whirlwind, witnessed by Elisha (who later received the "double portion"). Similarly, Jesus ascended into Heaven and this was witnessed by His disciples who later received the "double portion of spirit" (first portion in John 20:22 and the second in Acts 2:3,4). Another way of looking at this would indeed be to see John the Baptist being prefigured by Elijah and thus, Christ by Elisha. Christ too received a "double portion of spirit"- we read that He was born of the Spirit when the Holy Spirit came upon Mary. His second portion of spirit then was at the time of His baptism when the Spirit came upon Him like a dove. It is interesting that Christ was prefigured both by Elijah and Elisha in this sense. For John the Baptist, though he came in the spirit of Elijah, did not do the works of Elijah, but he was sent as a messenger "to prepare the way of the Lord". I think that's why John the Baptist himself denies that he is Elijah even though Gabriel the angel (Luke 1:17) and Jesus Himself (Matt 11:10, 14) both bore witness to John the Baptist being Elijah. I believe John the Baptist was a partial fulfillment of the Elijah who is to come just as Christ as the Suffering Servant was part fulfillment of the Messianic prophecies in the OT. Gabriel says in Luke 1:17 that John will "turn the heart of the fathers to the children" but does not complete the verse as in Malachi 4:6. Similarly, Jesus' synagogue reading of Isaiah 61:2 is rendered incomplete in Luke 4:19 when He "proclaims the acceptable year of the Lord" only and leaves out "the day of vengeance". There is, thus, a second coming for Elijah (when 'he will turn the hearts of the children to their fathers') just as there is for Christ (when He comes to proclaim 'the day of vengeance of our God') and then shall all the prophecies of our God be completely fulfilled.

Can u ask jacob prasch a question for me, I am from the gypsy community and I come to jacob to try to enlighten him.. Who is the least between the man and the woman? What is the kingdom of heaven? Is it a place or the people? The kingdom of heaven is like children in a playground, the elders will say.. I played the flute for you, they say to me now, I have served the lord 40 years I know more than you little woman sit down. So I ask jacob this question again.... who is the least in the kingdom of heaven? Was it yashua who was allowed to sit at the pulpit and preach Isaiah and over throw the tables... Or was it someone in the future tense? And when elijah comes he will be greater than even john the Baptist... why is that? Who is wisdom? Is she the woman who fears the Lord? Who is revelation 12 woman who gives birth to the holy spirit to save her peoples children? And honor your mother and farther... if you do not honor them you will surely die. The tree of life is in your hands.. and the key to hades is in his hands. Pass this onto jacob prasch for me, the branch will be broken and there will form 1 against the other. I have now heard this twice from my beloved brother Jacob Prasch that John the baptist was the son of a/(the) High priest. HE WAS NOT. He was the promised son of a priest, a levite, in the service of the temple in his course (by the angel Gabriel, and also named by the same) The Bible does not say such that he ( the father, Zacharias, was high priest)

How could you make such an ignorant statement about Christ Jesus. Jesus is talking about the same spirit as John the Baptist, same calling, same following, same love for the Lord and God placed him there and can call out what HE wants. Elijah came before John the Baptist. If we don't understand - delve deeper.

Elijah will come.... He is a man like us. Jacob could be the one who comes in the spirit of Elijah, just like John the Baptist came in the spirit of Elijah. Jacob is a great teacher, I do not see another person on the current world stage who would make a better Elijah. Wondering if the original Elijah will return or someone in the spirit of Elijah. I do not know if anyone can answer this question.

Genesis, the story of creation. God created man first, then He created woman. Enticed by Satan in the form of a snake, the woman and the man sinned against God's command. Result: man and woman were kicked out of the garden, creation was cursed because sin entered the universe via the transgression, man became a farmer through great travail, the woman through childbirth became the first mother of man. Then in the account as men multiplied they broke off into clans, throughout the generations men filled the Earth, till Noah. Then you have the flood narrative, the repopulation of the Earth, the calling out of Abram who becomes Abraham and his children, out of one Abrahamic familial branch God calls out JACOB who eventually gets renamed ISRAEL. ALL who are not Jews are gentiles, but ALL people come from our original parents, Adam and Eve. Today there are Jews, Gentiles and the church. In the church, (the body or bride of Jesus Christ) there are NO gentiles and NO Jews, we are one in Jesus. There's only salvation in Jesus Christ, by no other name can man be saved.
