Make sure you fully test those cards when you get the chance! Just checking for a post is a quick way to know its not a dud, but Ive had plenty of cards with dying vram and other issues that have no issues posting or loading drivers. The issues only become clear once a full vram and gpu core stress test is run for a few hours at least. The 3060 12gb for $70 is insane, nice job grabbing that!

One small tip, when painting plastic always apply a primer. The color will stick much better and will look much nicer and last longer. The paint has a tendency to peel off the plastic due to the heat, the primer prevents this

9:41 Tip: Before spray painting the gpu get a micro fiber sheet and wipe the dust off of it, so it will be a smooth surface 😊

thats good advise but sandpapering it after and before painting it is even better. Thats what they do with cars too before painting because smooth surface aint good for painting.

Put the cans of spray paint in a bucket of hot water before ya use them as well

Try and put high heat paint on the plastic and back. A lot of standard can paint will be eaten away as heat gets to it. Putting on high heat spray will stop that and give it a longer life and a better looking one as well.

I did something similar to what you did with the Zotac card, accidentally put my finger inside the fan and completely broke it. Ended up delaying my build by about 1 week and set me back another $20. Lesson learned about Zotac cards.

In my opinion the 1080ti was a better deal and heres why. Id pay no more than 150-200 for a used 3060, and I'd pay no more than 300-350 for a used 1080ti. So theres ~130 profit on the 3060 and ~200 profit on the 1080ti.

The gtx 1080ti is faster at the moment but with games starting to release with Direct X12_2 Ultimate and like the GTX 780 ti which was still a very capable card which now can't launch modern games because it did support DX12 the GTX 1080Ti's days are limited especially with Nvidia's track record of Driver Support

Thankyou for adding a running total I've asked a few times for that and it's great seeing it and white system was a clean build. You should also use super high grit sand paper and rub down the plastic slightly before paininting(I learned that the hard way kinda similar to your first paint attempt)

I need Help please. I purchased rx 6600 to replace GTX 1050. After installing the Graphic Card, when I start the pc it is stuck on HP logo. But when the i remove power from gpu and boot with intel HD Graphics. It smoothly boots up. PSU Is 400w (Gigabyte). CPU I5 7400. RAM 16 GB Crucial dual channel. Any help will be appreciated.
