This was an excellent video about the Likliv Digital Microscope. I was able to easily follow along with you step by step as you demonstrated how the microscope works. I felt overwhelmed when I received my microscope today at the thought of having to figure out how the microscope work's. My anxiety quickly went away because you left no stone unturned in my opinion, when explaining the process in a clear, easy to follow manner. Thank You

I got the same one...... But mine is branded as Hayve. Exact same microscope though. The two cons I have is you don't have much room for bigger circuit boards and the gooseneck lights don't stay very good.
@danotten3344 Жыл бұрын
The bigger circuit boards is also worrying me about getting one of these, but I'm thinking it could be modded onto a microphone boom or something with the vertical rack / shaft thing mounted upside down. This way you could move the boom / arm where ever you need to be and fine adjust it with the vertical rack thing...

Good Review you helped me greatly I agree they have the same name and Model Number for all the Elikliv Microscopes, ours is Model : EK-DM4S and it does not have the remote, good job explianing and helping me to figure out the controls!! Thank You ! :)

Can this be mounted onto something like a microphone boom / arm instead of the base ? Maybe by turning the vertical rack mounted upside down, so its not in the wayof bigger circuit boards ?

Great Video. I just ordered the unbranded version. And glad I looked for info on it. I would like to ask. I just want to use it for real time. Is there any special I need to click to view object? Or once turned on and in menu can start viewing. I am very new to these types of things. Thanks!

The main problem for me using this one is that I cannot zoom out to see the ful coin and take a picture of it. It works great zooming in on the date and mint mark but not seeing the whole coin in a picture. I am going to return this because of this problem

Is there a switch to turn on the two side lights, just turning the wheel on the bottom of base does not turn the lights on...hnnn
@youtuuba Жыл бұрын
timjohnson, as I recall you just rotate the dimmer thumbwheel until the base lamps dim and then turn off. If yours dies not do that AND if it is the same model as the one in this video of mine, then I think it is defective.

I have the identical unit. Hes correct on somethings but incorrect on others. It does come with a SD card. I thought the same but then my wife went back and looked in the box and there it was. You have to be looking for it to see it because it's in a very small sealed bag, like a zip lock bag. Also it does come with the power charger cable but not the charging block. The unit is a AWESOME unit and I do recommend for coin collecting as well as using for testing super small components on a motherboard.

Seems inconsistent. Just got one from Amazon today and it didn’t come with SD card, but mine did come with the micro use cable.

Jpsrsugusy, you are extrapolating your own individual experience, without considering that others might have different experienced. They are not right or wrong, just different. MINE included exactly what I reported in the video, no more, no less.

Did you use such a microscope as an electrical engineer? Or does your interest stem from the Heath kits?
@youtuuba2 жыл бұрын
Dean W, I don't know why my reason for having this microscope has to be one of the options you cited. I just got it because I have been working with some vintage magnetic core memory projects, and needed a microscope for that.
@deanw1942 жыл бұрын
@@youtuuba The microscope is an interesting piece of equipment not owned by most households. My inquiry was trying to determine what you might use it for- I was just curious. Given that you had mentioned you were an electrical engineer and are involved with heath kits, I did not know if this was an essential tool for those pursuits or something else. I am merely trying to understand how and what is uses are. Sorry, if I am being too intrusive. I just enjoy ALL of your videos and like learning from you.

Leso204, I don't think this microscope would be a good choice for actual "PCB work" involving soldering, since without binocular vision there would be no depth perception. I can see it being useful for PCB inspection.....

@@youtuuba I also skipped a lot but I told here just to make a point that some people pretend to watch the things the way they want instead of uploading their own work and being JUDGED by the community! Good effort but hard to watch due to rambling and excessive detail about obvious things. Pity since you would be a very good reviewer otherwise. Just some planning and editing would make all the difference. Your thoroughness is appreciated but watching someone mosey through an evaluation is of limited appeal.
@youtuuba2 жыл бұрын
big-league, thanks for your comment, but I am not a professional KZbin content creator. To do the kind of prepared review and discovery you suggest would take way more time than I have. As it is, my approach (especially with unfamiliar devices that I am learning as I shoot video) is good enough to help people. I try to be detailed, because I cannot predict which little detail might be important to some viewer. As for whether my approach limits the appeal to some viewers, I simply don't care.
@bigalexg2 жыл бұрын
@@youtuuba Fair enough. You're way ahead of me as I lack the initiative to make a single video, LOL. Have fun and rock on I guess.
