It is such a marvelous video with a glorious setting, with all the debutants in the opera house and beautiful camera work which makes her stupendous singing all the more enjoyable. She is one of the few singers today who looks as nobly as she sings. What a delight to listen to and watch!

Performances like this leave no doubt in my mind who the #1 Mezzo in the world is. Coloratura, Dramatic, Lyric, whatever you wish to call her, Dame Garanca is on top. But I would say she is some of all three...

While Elina herself is sublime in all she vocally projects, I feel that one must also hand it to her team who seem to match whatever she wears to the highest perfection. At 6:26 the lights and shadows depict her profile in the most elegant manner, her lifted hairstyle is classical without a trace of provocativity, equalling royalty in her majestic features, she does not need the embelishments of earrings. At 4:18 The flow of her body is enhanced by the flow of her dress and hand placement and the fittings around the top of her dress are much better than what I have seen of other sopranos including the red dress worn by Angela Gheorghiu - Granada - Madrid 2007 . Perhaps one should not use relative measures, but Elina would do well with only absolute measurements in voice, dress, hairstyle and grace.

I need to apologise, for I missed out in congratulating all the others who created this wonderful spiritual human atmosphere. All the members of the orchestra including the leader for their great effort in creating a heavenly sound while the audience itself, whose effort in keeping up standards, even in their manners and attire is worthwhile as occasionally people need ot get together and belong to each other for human society to build the right roots to grow. Congratulations to everybody including the invisible designers and builders and decorators and light and communications engineers of that theatre. The responsibility of such a success is carried on the shoulders of all those who are present and not present, while the orchestra and the singer are the superglue that unites all components in a spirtual space that only developed humans minds can ever create. May all nations in the world have an equivalent session at least once a year which can be watched by millions of people.
