Was excited to explore this season just right after it's announcement a long time ago and if last season was so weak, current season is so great. One haven't seen such a variety of styles in a long time at WSO. I have some plans.

Impressive season! Vienna (like Milan) giving the people the opera they expect - unlike The Met/Gelb. BTW, Ms. Netrebko is New York's loss and Vienna's gain!

Could not watch more than a few minutes. Great line-up, but if the pics are a sample of the productions, there is one stupid production after another. Just do concert verstions and leave out the attempts at relevance.

Si les opéras sont alléchants, je vois que les mises en scène sont toujours aussi ridicules et contemporaines. Il n'y a plus que cela. Que diriez vous d'une composition d'opéra se situant aujourd'hui et que l'on transporterait au VIè siècle? nul. Architectes et metteurs en scène se prennent pour des génies, alors qu'ils copient les uns sur les autres les mêmes stupidités.
