She's singing in Italian and even though projections on a dress were done before at Eurovision, hers was really next level awesome :) The winner of 2018 was Netta with Toy for Israel, which was good, but runner up, Eleni Foureira, should have won in my humble opinion :) Interesting fact: Since Elina's dress with projectors cost a fortune, she almost didn't have it for Eurovision, but then she found sponsors at the last minute who saved the day, since it was a big part of her whole performance at the national final.

This is definitely a beautiful song, though not my personal favourite. My favourite that year was definitely "Lie to Me" from Czech Republic because it’s such a good song to dance to. Also knowing he had to go to the hospital after the first rehearsal because of his back the end of his performance was so impressive.

Fantastic performance. The thing with Eurovision is that it's not just a song contest, it's an international TV show. When the audience is made up of 200 million people from over 40 countries - where they don't all speak the same language -visuals can be really important in holding attention and winning votes. That's part of why Eurovision is so exciting to watch. The dress cost €65,000 ($75,000) !!!

You know, when I first listened to this in the National Final, I was like meh... Another boring operatic act, but the dress really uplifted the performance. It is a combo. Fun fact, she had a cameo in the Netflix's movie Eurovision Song Contest: The story of Fire Saga, along with other contestants (some of them winners) from past years.
