I beat it for the first time yesterday. I had three units level in the final chapter. Two of them were blank. It was in the final chapter so it didn’t matter much, but damn I was mad. I think this was on normal if that matters.

i play PoR pretty often and I get lots of blank level ups. I think it's a lot more common in PoR than in other titles. At least in my experience.

Let this run serve as a good example as to why PoR Maniac Mode was a mistake. Although tbf, he did do pretty well (he even beat Clash and won against BK); it's just too bad it all came crashing down by the endgame...

Complacency ended the run. You can tell Mangs thought he already won the game after he beat Clash, even though the last 2 chapters are just about as difficult, it's just that Clash came first and is the first hurdle. The talk about getting units to max stats so that they can transfer to RD is the first sign of that, and throwing units to frontline by themselves with pure water and think they'll be just fine.

Highlights that are not actual deaths: 0:19, 2:55, 10:38, 15:50, 23:10, 23:59, 24:08 ... Bruh level-ups.... 1:24 - 1:55 Ike almost got killed (and the run) himself. After the 2nd "bruh..." level up... Titania barely managed to hold the line. 4:35 ... See Rhys and Ilyana's death opinion. 20:32... one of the chat messages foreshadowing how the torment ended..., also Ike used Aether at the most convenient time in that fight. 23:42... Mangs tested his luck to defeat the boss with a seize tome and... got a crit. 25:30... The struggle to hold the line for Ike, Oscar, Soren and Tauroneo begins... it was a trainwreck. 28:21... The entire Clash map as a trainwreck, this felt like doing Mass Effect 2's Suicide Mission with all squadmates unloyal and CAREFULLY taking the best possible choices to reduce casualties, by the way, Tauroneo carried the frontlines in said map and the enemy AI did some cool mistakes in favor to Mangs. 32:30 ... The Black Knight fight... without Mist for healing, at least Mangs was ready to bail out if things went horribly, but that didn't happen. Actual Deaths: Marcia: "Marcia.exe stopped working, sorry for the inconveniences" (Died as a green unit and RNG screwed). Rhys and Ilyana: As Deadpool says in MVC3 when he get's KO'ed (most of the time) "YOU PRESSED THE WRONG BUTTON!!!" (or in this case Mangs picked the wrong option because he was in a "hurry"). Sothe: From rejected to K.I.A. "what a shame" (also LOL the chat after Sothe's death). Makalov: This seems awfully familiar. Kieran: That Raph meme says it all. Gatrie: AGAIN failing to check the enemy range?! Devdan: This ALSO seems awfully familiar (and Mangs just used him as bait). Reyson: See Gatrie's death opinion. Boyd: No Pure Water = Killed by seize tomes (also the game crashed, Mangs could have tried to give him redemption but decided to bench him as a result of keeping it as true as possible to the lost progress). Stefan: His luck is bad, no suprise he took a crit. on his face and being forced to retreat. BOGUS!!!! (Seems like I used this Super Macho Man quote yet again...) Mist: You know... she might have not being forced to retreat if ONLY she had a sword to reduce the axe advantages... also sad Mist 'cuz she couldn't keep going in the battlefield. Astrid, Ranulf: Failed to hold the line in Clash. Mordecai: Died as a hero in Clash. Largo: Shared the same fate as Stefan. Tauroneo: Seize tomes redux... and the run started to go to hell with this death. Nasir: Mangs' an idiot... Brom, Shinon: Pretty much a bait. Geoffrey: Failed to hold the line (at least he actually managed to reach the end). Elincia: The torment has ended... thrice. (but it was Mangs' fault by going to the middle point of the map to begin with AND losing all healers pretty much to kinda force himself to use her), and as Sketch Turner says in Comix Zone when you die and run out of lives "Game Over Man, The End...".
