I like what he says about actual bias vs apparant bias. It is a very difficult thing to prevent as apparant bias plays on our subconscious stereotypes and prejudices. And yes, the chips are almost always stacked against the tier 2 teams, add that to the apparant bias and the playing field is not level at all.

If tier 2 nations have the same amount of rest days as the tier 1 nations...what a World Cup it'll be...4 games in 2 weeks for tier 2 nation that's harsh!!!

"If we all just pause and seriously think about this years RWC 2011 schedule. ALL the top Tier Nations had 4 Pool Games in 21 Days and the Tier two(Minnows) had 4 Games in 16 Days. Why doesn't the IRB understand the magnitude of this outcome... Imagine if the shoe was on the foot! The Island Nations would have indeed gone further into the later stages. ALL Island Teams have always struggle(Funds/Player Eligibility) ever since the first RWC. Just one word sums up the whole sitiuation" "FAIRNESS"

Browsing through KZbin I happen to stumble across this video clip again and I’ve realized that this is in reference to the 2007 rugby world cup (if I’m not mistaken)..?!?!? Eliota has drawn some huge parallel on apartheid with IRB back than….low and behold “this parallel” has definitely reared its ugly head again. Now Eliota can sit back and say… didn’t I tell you guys so…!!!! It is now in 2019 and IRB decides to leave all Pacific Island nations out of their so call league but included Japan & the USA in the league. Good one Uso…..now you must be chuckling your heart out.

just goes to show the virtues of FIFA using a blind draw for their world cup. Prevents any favoritism of the scheduling or venues

When you look to football and see how much money small teams can make playing big teams in the FA cup etc. there is something wrong with the way money from TV rights and merchandising is distributed in Rugby, before it seems the problems of corruption with those running Samoan rugby come into play. When you have teams with so much money and infrastructure and then hear of teams from the islands training in the local park something is very wrong The amount of money that we are talking about to give these teams a leg up is a drop in the ocean in the scheme of things, money goes a long way in these poor countries, if used properly. Without these teams Rugby as a whole and the World Cups would be much the poorer, it's time those with the money and power stepped forward to help their brothers.

A shame that he made the holocaust and apartheid comments, which undermined his whole argument. The rest of what he says makes complete sense and is very articulately put. The other problem is as soon as you mention the "H" word, many people listening get so vicariously offended and indignant that they are deaf to everything else said.

@RhannJaKing I reckon it's because of fear and jealousy. IRB are scared and will be jealous when small nations could one day beat the more dominant nations in rugby. It's evident from samoa vs wallabies early this year.
