@TheKhopesh5 ай бұрын
Some elevators have a hold button that staff use when they're loading luggage into/out of an elevator and it'll take a while. This is usually a feature on freight and staff-only area elevators, but some smaller hotels (or at least, ones that see less guest traffic) have the feature on their public elevators rather than putting in separate elevators just for the purpose. She probably pressed the hold button. These can delay the elevator for set time intervals (usually 1-5 minutes) or as an on/off feature (but those are pretty rare these days for safety reasons, and might not even be legal in the US anymore). She probably hit a delay button as she was going down the list.

I don’t think there was anyone outside the elevator. When she initially walks into the elevator she doesn’t look in distress. I think she hides in the corner to see if there is someone holding the button. When she jumps out it sort of seems like a “got you” moment. When she realises there’s no one there I think the erratic hand movements is her trying to see if there was anything physically stopping the door from closing. She then looks frustrated , grabbing her hair and playing with her hands. The second time she gets into the elevator she presses heaps of buttons. She seems just as confused as to why the door isn’t closing as we are.

It couldn't have been a ghost, she had to have been murdered by a staff working at the hotel. You'd think that they would release camera footage from the roof, but they refused to release it. I'd also like to point out that you would need a special kind of keycard to gain access to the roof. So it was obviously a staff member. Not an expert on elevators, but I assume that it stayed open simply because it operates by detecting motion. They are built that way in an effort to keep them from shutting while someone is still in the process of stepping in or out. Elisa repeatedly darted in and out of the thing the entire time she was there. As far as the elevator is concerned, it wasn't going to shut until she was out of the way, which is, probably, why we saw it abruptly do so as soon as she disappeared from view.

As it says in the documentary, she had bipolar disorder and wasn't taking her pills. Her family mentioned she sometimes had hallucinations which leads to panic attacks, so there might've been nobody with her and she could've been having hallucinations that there was somebody coming to kill her which is why she was acting strange. She went to the rooftop, and saw the water tank as her hiding spot to protect herself. She got in, and took off her clothes to try and swim up because she probably thought the weight of her clothes were pushing her down. But I will respect everyone's theories, so don't feel pressured to follow the same theory as me.

Probably some employee took advantage of her inconvenience and took her to the terrace to abuse her upstairs, since there were no cameras there. She obviously tried to resist, but it was murderous. So, to stand as a witness, the clerk threw the body into the water tank (to get rid of fingerprints), his only mistake was closing the lid. In order for the hotel's image not to get ugly these days after everything that happened, the owner made an agreement with the police to stifle the case as much as possible, which is consistent with the edited videos and insufficient information, making it appear to be a suicide for bipolar disorder.

This video was spliced a few places at least. The elevator closing for the first time. Also interestingly what indicates a minute passing takes ~80 seconds from 0:00 to 1:20 and then 1:20 to 2:41. Okay, strange but consistent. However it changes again after 7 seconds 2:41 to 2:48. There is a light shift at 2:29 the frame after Elisa's foot exits view completely. There is also a light shift in 2:34. Again at 2:50. Now the elevator close. Keep you on the bottom panel. The first frame of 2:58 has a blur that you will be able to see in the bottom panel, the floor tiles, and the reflection of the top and bottom sections of the elevator wall. The second frame the door magically partially closed. The third and subsequent frames we aren't blurred anymore. Now, The open and closes. I believe that the last open and everything we before the door close are the same place. The first open after the door close at 2:58 is different than what we saw previously. Look at the wood, the length is different. Anyway, my wrist is in a lot of pain, i'm stopping.

Ok im confused. I seen a video talking about demons on a channel that's no longer on you tube and it showed this video and what said parts of the video that haven't been seen. This was years ago and in the longer video she comes back into the elevator and is held against the left wall if i remember correctly and appears to be strangled by something invisible to the camera. Now i seen the video and it looked like it was part of the original video no altercations and this was before AI was really being used. Now i cant find that video ANYWHERE??? Does anyone else remember seeing another version of things or watching the video on that other channel??? The channel was lioness of yeshua i think?

It's not frightened behavior, though. Anxious, maybe, but not frightened. Her body language throughout the video is 100% playful. She's in the corner waiting to surprise someone who never comes in, or even near. I think someone promised her an illicit nighttime swim in the water tank, and for whatever reason, she trusted them enough not to realize they were avoiding cameras on the way to the roof -- this one in particular. This is a four-minute argument about taking the stairs.

My mom died during a psychotic episode similar to this. She was afraid of being followed and went somewhere to be alone, but without food. We struggled to understand what happened for the same reasons - it’s so antithetical to what someone in their right mind would do. And yet the mind is a powerful thing. We see killers or the supernatural in these cases because we can’t understand what it’s like to be them. So we can’t imagine how they’d end up this way. If she went into that water tank, how would she close it? There would have been bruises on how her fingers. Now, hiding a body in a water tank is a way to get rid of fingerprints. I think she was about to be sex****** assaulted. Assuming her state when found she wasn't though. Plus, if she had an epsiode you need to be specific. Did her family ever say she had such epsiodes for the 22 years of living? She was killed and we refuse to except this, it was a horrible death. If she went up the fire escape she was running obviously. It was most likely a former hotel staff from when she was staying. The police might already know but haven't revealed the info. If this had happened it was maybe two men. Relating to your theory if she had done so, the person who Left her body closed the tank and just left her there, or the tank top just fell magically. In my opinion most probably Elisa suffered a psychotic break - this can happen even if she was taking her medication. She was afraid someone was after her, the small inconvenience that the elevator wasn’t working triggered her fear. Perhaps she tried to escape from the windows and reached the tab. My hypothesis is that the staff had accidentally left it open and then either closed the tab without paying attention that someone was inside or they were afraid of getting in trouble for leaving the tab open and decided to close it.

I think the official story is the truth here. She was having a psychotic attack. She thinks somebody is to out to get her, gets in the lift presses buttons the doors don't close. She thinks someone is out there that is pushing buttons causing the lift not to move. She hides and tries to see, then jumps out of the lift to catch him in surprise. Then she does weird movements because her distress goes up. Then runs to the roof and gets in the water tank to hide or falls in it, but can't get out. Removes her clothes due to hypothermia, and eventually drowns. It is a very sad death. Editing this comment for the many people asking about how she closed the lid: There are different reports if the tank was actually open or not, and a civilian later sneaked into the roof and recorded that half of the tanks were open so I am assuming it was open, or maybe was closed later by one of the staff. This is the exact behavior we saw at the emergency room when homeless people or the people down the street at the halfway house came off their meds or suffered a break with reality. They made all sorts of weird hand movements, spoke with people who were not there, and moved in obsessive-compulsive patterns and generally repeated tics over and over. What you're seeing here is not a person being pursued by a killer or a ghost or a person from another dimension. If there were another person threatening her, she would have run away. Instead, like a person suffering a psychotic break, she is alternating between paranoia and calm, wandering like she does not know where she is, repeating patterns, and fidgeting with her environment. It IS scary to watch. Psychotic breaks are VERY scary to watch. I know. But they are not supernatural, and they require no conspiracy or help from others to occur.

@jeremysmetana85838 жыл бұрын
You can Google more info about this, and you'll find that employees at the hotel have revealed that the hatch to the tank is not heavy at all. There was a fire escape that provided easy access. It is very easy to imagine that in her altered state, she took her clothes off and climbed in. It would not be uncommon for somebody in this state to imagine they were overheated, covered in ants, just plain itchy for no apparent reason, or simply to be so dissociated they didn't know what they were doing, and climb right in. Her clothes were set aside, like she took them off and intended to put them back on. They weren't stolen or hidden. Why? Because there was nobody else there to steal or hide them.

Finally someone made this one. In the end this should be very clear, she was sick and took 4 different meds and her friend didn't want to sleep in the same room with her because of "odd behavior". But the tank part still makes me wonder, I mean for a person in this state to climb the ladder to the roof, and then to a 10ft tall tank and then jump in there without clothes on and then closing the hatch is way too fishy.

Of everything I've read about this case (and I've read aLOT), I've never ONCE seen it mentioned that the hotel employees were questioned by the police. Why not?! CLEARLY, one of them would've had to have been responsible. She couldn't have roof access without them (only they have the keys). When they found her body, they even had to get a LADDER to get to the top of the tank [!!!] Also, her PHONE was missing [!!] ....[shaking head] I just don't get it. Looks like an elaborate cover-up....but why??????
@AeonProjectz9 жыл бұрын
***** Well it was a sketchy broke down hotel. I wouldn't be surprise if the roof top had a broken lock or a lock at all. Plus the only cam they had of her was in the elevator. Meaning that the killer knew where the cam's were since they were probably cheap as hell and easily spotted. By taking a stroll and observing almost every inch of the hotel, a killer can devise and execute a perfect get-away. Don't get me wrong the staff could be involved too. And it could've been more than just one killer on this. It takes 2 bodies to easily hold one down.
@wigwam83199 жыл бұрын
***** I think the staff killed her. If there was a killer, there would have had to be several, as the water tank was too heavy for one person to lift. So, one thing we can say happened for certain, is that multiple people were responsible for her death. Whether it was assisted suicide or homicide.
@KazeChannelKC9 жыл бұрын

***** One tank does have a ladder but not the one she was found In. To believe this was an accident or suicide you would have to believe that first she rubbed sand into her clothes (investigation found that), climbed up one tank, hopped across to the other tank, took her clothes off, opened the lid just enough to slide through BUT close the lid before she fell or jumped in. That's too many assumptions for occam's razor. This was murder.

I was running a big delivery a few weeks ago and was sliding big boxes into an elevator when the door started closing on me and legitimately would not stop, even with me moving my arms for the sensors. I tried to hold the doors apart but they kept closing on my upper body, so obviously I got out of the way to prevent any Final Destination stuff from happening. The elevator doors do not close obviously cause she pressed too many buttons at once. This happened to me many times before. Or it can be malfunctioned. There is no one waiting for her there. this thesis is EXTREMELY stupid. The roof's door must have stayed open that night. The tank's hatch CAN be lifted by one person. I hope this may bring awareness to mental health support. This is what a psychotic episode really looks like and the person in most danger of harm is the person experiencing this rather than other people. She did not realize she pressed a hold button on the lift and it keeps the door open for two minutes. This propelled her into paranoia which she had experienced before and was meant to be taking medication for. Yes, during a psychotic episode it can look strange. I also blame the hotel for not having enough video cameras set up to see fully where she went, especially to the water tanks. That area needed monitering as anyone could of even put poison in them etc… They absolutely should of lost a negligence case due to the fact someone could go up there without security knowing for any reason and the water was contaminated. I also believe there is dark energy in this hotel and on a spiritual level, yes that can affect people with other underlying issues and magnefy them. I feel this is why so many horrible things occur at this location. Energy really can effect people.

I don't get it, if she was being pursued, why did she casually walk in to the elevator? Her body language just doesn't read I am going to die or I am scared. Why wasn't she screaming? She was a smart girl why didn't she look around for cameras in the elevator? Also that strange thing she does with her hands reads like a major mental psychosis episode. She seems disoriented, trying to figure out what is reality. As far as accessing the water tank, is it not a possibility an employee took advantage of her disoriented state and brought her somewhere secluded like the rooftop then raped her and dumped her in the water tank? Told her its ok I'll make sure youre safe, I mean its not hard to take advantage of someone who is so clearly deranged. Is it that crazy that it was both psychosis and murder?

+Joanna T. There is a video on youtube showing a close up of her face and she does look scared. You dont always scream when you are scared. It looked to me like she was trying to get away from someone, hiding from someone, and tried to get away on the elevator. When after several tries it doesn't go anywhere, she starts pushing all the buttons like "please just take me anywhere, off this floor!" The pushing of the stop button was just a part of that panicy button pushing. Then, apparently, someone caught up with her....

Tamara Smith Yes of course she is distressed, I would say she seems disoriented and it is causing her to act very strange. It's been a couple days now and I am still researching this case as it has honestly unsettled me so much because depression hits close and sometimes I have the fear I will lose it like this. Her sudden trip to Los Angeles was very uncharacteristic according to those close to her, giving light to perhaps and epiphany in her where she needed to get away. This is very telling of a depressive or bipolar episode. She often wrote in her blog how she felt alone and was having a hard time holding in her depression. Like I said it is not hard to take advantage of someone when they are at their lowest point. After my comment I did a little more research on her body language, specialists say her body language is indicative of someone flirting or playing with someone, perhaps a small child. Autopsy reports never even processed the rape kit, which deeply unsettles me as they found her clothes laying next to her. Like I said, I really do believe she was tripping out in her mind and someone took advantage of her.

It is a valid theory. The water tank seems a "strange" way to commit suicide. Just my opinion.

+Joanna T. Agree with you 100%. Someone raped and murdered her. Most likely more than one person. This hotel has been home to serial killers,suicides, and murders. Also the place where Elizabeth short was rumored to be last seen before her murder. They never said whether the rape kit was positive or not. The employees panicked when they found her(maybe a couple of employees were involved in the rape and murder) and covered it up. Tampering with the surveillance. Maybe some higher up figured it would add to the hotels mystery and bring in more patrons. Being bipolar doesn't make you act like that. The medication maybe yes. But something has to trigger it. Like say a person or persons following her. Taking advantage of her clouded mind and you know the rest like you said.

The elevator doors were not closing, she looks as if she is hiding from someone, she then looks as if she is explaining something to someone, she then leaves and the elevator acts normally. Her body was found inside a water storage tank, and they had to drain it, and cut it open to retrieve her body. The lid was very heavy, how did it get closed? How did she fit inside the small opening?

Yeah I think you found the the where some weird shit was cutted out. In another video I have seen her standing infront of the elevator very weirdly. Her legs were like bent to the inside.

Having investigated several crime cases, my guess is some of the hotel staffs manipulated the elevator's controls while others were stalking her, thats why she tried to hid at some points where the door wasn't closing, seeing that the elevator wont work she tried to reason with the staffs who told her to go with them, she has no other choice. Then after she walks to the left the staffs controlling the elevator shuts the door, they didn't appear in front so as not to be seen on the camera. Then they all gang raped her and dumped her body in the tank. They bribed the forensic not to report rape, according to wikipedia "The autopsy report and its conclusions have also been questioned. For instance, it does not say what the results of the rape kit and fingernail kit were, or even if they were processed.", when her parents filed lawsuit against the hotel , their statement was "The hotel argued it could not have reasonably foreseen that Lam might have entered the water tanks, and that since it remained unknown how Lam got to the water tank no liability could be assigned for failing to prevent that" , blant denialism. No one had access to the roof but the staffs, no one could have malfunctioned the elevator or cut out moments from the camera footage other than the staffs. Its a very common occurrence women getting raped, killed, their bodies dumped (and many cases in the water tank), these are all over the news..
