I feel really sad hearing it. In 2005 Máté was powerful and sexy, bit know is more like he's doing without any passion, just sad. Anyway, this Rudolf is AMAZING, he's saving the song. Brillant.

He’s been playing the same role for over 10 years he’s probably a bit tired :( thanks god we have the dvd for his 2005 performance. Still hope he can come back to sing though. He’s into painting nowadays

haben das musical am 09.01 im Berlin gesehen, den Tod hat Martin markert gespielt was wir aber erst im Nachhinein erfahren haben. da er von etwas weiter aussah wie mate dachten wir er wäre es. ich War begeistert von seiner Stimme aber etwas traurig mate nicht gesehen/ gehört zu haben. Jetzt muss ich sagen ich Danke allen Göttern, die Vorstellung War genial und Martins Interpretation hat mir gänsehaut beschert ;)

Thomas ist ein verdammt guter Rudolph! Wirklich super! Aber mit Mate als Tod werde ich einfach nicht warm... Aber ich finde es gut, dass er nicht mehr so kreischt wie 2005... :)

Das liegt daran, dass die im Refrain die Rollen getauscht haben damit Mate nicht so hohe Töne singen muss. Wurde bei Uwe Kröger 2001 in Essen auch gemacht

I don’t get why they changed all the costumes of der Tod, the original ones that Mate also wore 2005 were so much better… now it’s just this ugly black or white leather coat. I really liked the more feminine clothing since it is said that der Tod is actually genderless(?) so it was a lot more fitting

Der liebe Mate hat wohl sein "Feuer" eingebüßt, wenn ich die Version von 2004/5 höre, klingt es viel besser. Aber trotzdem danke fürs teilen.

I agree. I used to love Mate especially in the DVD. But now he kind of lost 'it'. You know that erotic, forever young thing. I'd rather have Mark back

Yeah I get that but stilll. It's also about the attitude he shows off. I think Maté is kind of lousy in this peroformance, I've never seen him live, so I can't really judge him but in this video he lacks the 'Tod-factor'

+Lisa Loves Life +RoseDiMontague I feel really regret that Mate's voice seems to be gone forever. Comparing the performance of him I saw in Munich, Linz, Frankfurt and recently in Berlin, his voice and acting status go even worse. He stopped smoking for several months, and is now doing physical exercise very positively, however, all these efforts almost bring no benefits to his performance any more. I'm not a fan of Mate even in his best years, but still feel so sorry for the degradation of such a talented actor. Also, I think his return to this role may be a kinda unsuccessful decision this time, both for himself and the production team. : (

Saw the show last year in Frankfurt. Enjoyed it very much and the cast was great - except for Mate...he sounded really bad. They say he's ill (a cold for weeks? Surely not.) but I say he simply has lost his voice. Sad though.

+FreiUndSchwerelos Dir ist heute wohl langweilig, A.D. So schlecht kann er nicht sein, wenn es dich immer wieder zu ihm zieht, obwohl die Elisabeth-Tournee schon lange zu Ende ist. Langsam auffallend. Ich finde ihn auch sehr anziehend. Toller Kerl! Wow, wir sind schon bei 31.700 Klicks. Ich find das echt faszinierend. Hoffentlich steht Mate bald wieder völlig genesen auf einer Bühne.

Mate ist der beste Tod den ich je gesehen habe weil er, auch wenn man die DVD gesehen hat, auch mit so viel gefühl singt und man einfach merkt das er es liebt!

das ist leider nach seiner Erkrankung, er hat dadurch leider so ziemlich seine Stimme verloren... hör dir die Aufnahmen von 2004/2005 an, da war er noch unbestreitbar der beste Tod
