Wow, I really love how Elisabeth quickly opens the door, hands the letter to Franz Joseph, and then closes it before he can do anything. It just really shows her torment over what they are doing to Rudolf. I love it.

Wow, Pia sounds so much better in Dutch! And not just because it's her first language, but she's so just so much fiercer and stronger in the dutch version! There, she's practically screaming to dead to leave her, and here it's more like she's fleeing or something... I prefer her in dutch :P

@Annetje14 Have you heard her in the German productions? She was in Berlin and Stuttgart. I don't remember if she was in the show when it was in Essen though. From what I've heard, her performances in those and in the Dutch production are very similar.

@IngenuousSoprano Nope, I based my opinion solely on the videos I saw on KZbin, and in this case only the German and Dutch version of this song. I just thought the dutch Elisabeth was a strong and angry person in this song, and in this video she hides in her room, and it sounds as if she's more sad instead of angry :) I like Wenn ich tanzen will better in German though, so it totally depends on the song, I guess :P

hmmm.... naja ich weiß nicht ich möchte pia nicht schlecht machen aber ich hab mir vorher das mit maya angesehen und muss irgendwie sagen das pia sehr wenig leben und emotion in ihrer stimme rüberbringt. Soll jetzt nicht heißen das sie schlecht ist das bleibt jedem selbst überlassen.Aber wie gesagt maya ist um einiges kräftiger in der stimme. Pia klingt eher so als wolle sie sterben ich weiß nicht ich kann ihr das nicht ganz abkaufen :/
