I love Elise, but have no intested in driving 1 hour across town to see someone I might not like per Sofars' policy to keep their performers secret. Just not a fan of the curent Sofar concept. These are the same artists you can see in small clubs across LA for $10 and sit right next to them at the stage.

I am a fan, think you got great talent. Plus Im in love. But this isn’t my favourite performance, can hear your voice running out of air, seems you were too nervous, focus on feeling your music, BREATH and drive it like you stole it!!!

@elisetrouw I think you are struggling for breath during your vocals. You should work on that. Try some breathing techniques or some Indian breath control techniques. it should help you in the long run. #justafan

I agree. I'm a also a fan and her voice has potential but she could really use some vocal coaching...especially her breathing as you talked about. Having said that I believe she didn't really start doing vocals until a couple of years ago but all the more reason for her to invest in a good teacher.

I think you are right, she is struggling for breath. But have you seen her live looping video of this song? You would not notice any problem in that video. She seemed like a fine singer. Don't know what happened here.

I don't think its stage fright. She performs in front of audiences a lot. She even performed in Jimmy Kimmel live. Though I have read about artists who have hard time coping with stage fright even after years of on stage performances, I just dont think its the case here.

Her singing is sexy! (That's just her "Breathey" style and her way of singing, think David Cassidy back in the 70's.) It's considered relaxing and is one of the reason's why she is so popular with the boy's (and girl's) on social media. I personally love her style, but still wish she would pick it up a notch and delve into the realm of Sade, where we definitely need to fulfill a lost vacuum in that sexy and sultry department. I could definitely hear her doing "By Your Side" and many other cool, relaxing, sexy, sultry Sade songs. @elisetrouw
