I'm currently reading 48 Laws of Power and it's so dope to see other men who read and practice the same stuff. Especially during these fucked up times when the world is literally going mad and is turning away from what really matters. This is fucking sad, but it's very uplifting that there are like-minded men becoming stronger. Even though we'll never meet each other, we still are all connected 🔥

Been off the internet for a week. What a blessing it has been. Meditated 1 hour in the morning, 1 hour in the evening. The screens can enslave us and as Elisha says, they have the capacity to deplete our mental faculty. So much clarity and rejuvenation of the spirit gained when I logged out of the internet. Highly recommend for those who want to return to the source, the natural state of peace, for those who want to be reminded of your harmony with the universe. Thank you Elisha for the timely reminder. Some reflections of my own: Tradition - set of values and behaviours that constitute a way of life (presumably good) Men need to discern good from evil. The times are such that what is natural has become unnatural and people have lost sight of what is good and what is not. My personal basis of this is that good is what builds a person up - physically, mentally, spiritually. Bad is effectively anything else that does not serve this purpose, because if you are not going up then you would naturally be falling behind. The only way is forward. Tradition is the clear line that divides oneself and the world. Anger - the emotion of change Anger arises when one cannot accept the circumstances and is most prominently manifest when men can't stand sadness i.e. Suffering. To use anger correctly as any other tool, we must first become present and aware of what must be done and use the energy and drive that anger gives to do something that results in good. However, falling back to the previous point. The worth of what we allow ourselves to get angry at should be taken into account. We should only allow ourselves to be angry at things of true value (which we should also consider why we value what we do). This is the function of tradition as it clearly defines this. Anger should not be confused with bitterness. Bitterness is hatred of being and results in self-defilement in all aspects. Lastly, as a reference to Elisha's video on the Socratic phrase 'Know thyself'. We should aim to truly understand what strengths and weaknesses that we have and not be afraid to confront the possible lies that we've imbibed from self or others. In the world everyone knows enough to pursue what he does not know, but no one knows enough to pursue what he already knows. Everyone knows enough to condemn what he takes to be no good, but no one knows enough to condemn what he has already taken to be good. - Zhuangzi, ancient Chinese philosopher.

It is important to keep emotional investment in women very low in the beginning stages of a relationship. Women want a man who has life they will want to be part of, and not to be the complete focus of their man. Women want a man who has an adventurous life and they need to have a sense of FOMO in order to get attached to him. And with bitterness and resentment, it becomes easier to take a path of malevolence and you become that which you hated most. A Weak Man.

Its definately something that can be difficult, especially when you've grown up believing the opposite. When I was 16/17 I use to be submissive and needy, I got a lot of interest from girls and a gf but it ended badly because 1. She was a compulsive liar and 2. I also acted like a weak bitch. I learnt this stuff at 19 and became a lot more confident with girls, got a decent girlfriend but I went the opposite way and was too stoic and uncaring. A common thread running through both was that I never had any purpose or mission, I was floating through life. Girls can sense that. I'm 23 now and part of me wants a gf for a partner and someone to share stuff with. But at the same time I don't because I need to sort my life out first, and they can be a lot of hassle
@almiraj-x4 жыл бұрын
I can relate. Either way I grow too dependent. I first need to establish a life goal so I have something to focus on, until then a romantic relationship would be an energy-sucking disaster after the initial honeymoon phase. Floating through life apathetically sucks.

Some hobbies sure, but nothing else I would consider a “life goal” (or at least a goal). Nothing to work towards, care about or look forward to, so it all feels like a waste of time. If this is it I might as well be dead and cut out the middle man. It’s not like I care about life anyway.

Our sins have separated us from our God and that's why modern people are lost. Our sole purpose for being alive is to do God's will. Repent your sins and ask forgiveness to re-align yourself with The Most High, do His will and he will provide EVERYTHING for you. The farther people get from God, the more messed up this world gets. Without God, we can do nothing.
