If I didn’t love my bowtech ss34 so much I’d be looking into an elite

Bought my 5th elite today have an old echelon 37 and 39 target bows, bought a ethos last year, a verdict this year for target and now the exalt 35 they came out with the exalt 35 and exalt LD the 35 ends a 30” im 29 so it ends at the top of the mod so excited!

I still have an sr350!! Tough to beat the bowtech cams!!

The SS34 is actually my current bow!! Upgrading is definitely bitter sweet, fortunately I won’t be getting rid of the 34 just adding to the collection!🔥💪

The budget bow having faster factory specs than the flagship is actually crazy! Definitely a head scratcher 🤔

A little backwards if you ask me… but it is what it is I suppose!!

The longer bows usually always ibo slower than short bows.
@Backcountry3002 ай бұрын
@@Gaining_Elevation 100% true, just weird that the “budget bow” is faster than the flagship that’s the only weird part
@billzmoore2 ай бұрын
The exalt With a longer Ata and designed more for target specs the speed is actually pretty good. Actually too good, I can only shoot 65lbs or I'll go over the speed limit per ASA 3d rules
@Backcountry3002 ай бұрын
Speed might still be pretty good like you’re saying but the HUNTR33 which is also the “budget bow” (in elites words) is still faster! That’s going off of elites specs, not random testing that’s what ELITE themselves are claiming! Your exalt might have “pretty good” speed, but it’s still slower than the base model😂

My first elite was the omnia quiet awesome grip fast but unfortunately it had terrible cam lean so I sold it and was left with a bad taste
@Backcountry3002 ай бұрын
That’s definitely tough!! Understandable 🤔

First impressions are HUGE!! This year’s elite lineup is a huge step up from other years, but ultimately you need to go with what’s the most comfortable for you!
@dougkiefer70732 ай бұрын
The roller guard is adjustable guys. Yes it should’ve been better out of the box but you can move it to the right. I did on my Remedy
@MADDHunts2 ай бұрын
We understand it’s adjustment… but what’s the point of having it be adjustable if you can only run it completely maxed out to the right??
@dougkiefer70732 ай бұрын
@ agreed 100% . It should have more clearance out of the box

Yes exactly! The thought was a great Idea just poorly executed in our opinion… elite bows are still great bows!

Not a huge fan of the slow draw, absolutely a time and place for it. I just don’t find it comfortable at all! I’d much rather spend the extra money and shoot a Mathews or bowtech!

You don’t need yokes on the Exalt because it’s long enough to alleviate any cable rub.
@MADDHunts2 ай бұрын
The exalt has the worst issue with the cable rub… yes the cables are adjusted but what good is that if you have to adjust them all the way out? There is no running them any other way or you lose fletchings😂 everyone is so sensitive about the elite bows it’s crazy! Nobody is saying they’re a bad bow, but they do have several features I’m definitely not a fan of🤷♂️
@HuWhiteNat2 ай бұрын
@@MADDHuntsLike you, I’m shooting an SS34. That said, I’ve owned several Elites over the years. I’ve never lost fletchings running a VaporTrail? I’m fortunate enough to be able to purchase up to three flagships a year. I’ve had all the major offerings except for Hoyt. I won’t buy a Hoyt as long as they have that ridiculous support beam behind the grip. Looks like shit to me. Anyway, I think Elites are the most adjustable. You’ve got 1/4” DL increments. Infinite letoff adjustment from 70 to 90% and SET technology. You tested the Artus and Eon and made your assessment. Obviously, you would have a totally different opinion if the bows had smooth mods and the letoff rolled back to 80%. Elites have been some of the most accurate and forgiving shooters for me.
@MADDHunts2 ай бұрын
Full transparency I hate the support bar behind the Hoyts as well😂 However I did get to shoot the elites with both mods on them, I didn’t like them as much as other bows I’ve shot. Doesn’t mean their bad bows I just prefer other options for the draw cycle. The elites were very adjustable I agree! The ability to tune your bow without a press is amazing in my opinion, however for adjusting the rollers this year I feel they fell short I have shot elites from the past and they definitely weren’t as close to the cables as this years lineup, the only way to run this years bows is to max out the rollers
@HuWhiteNat2 ай бұрын
@ Well, when you’re comparing draw cycles to an SS34, most things are going to feel like shit. I’m liking the EON this year for a hunting bow but I’m waiting for Bowtech and Prime to drop before I decide. I’m a 30.5” DL so I can’t shoot everything.
@MADDHunts2 ай бұрын
I agree with that, I have a 31” draw so I’m in the same boat😂 the I actually liked the eon the most, I’m just not a huge fan of carbon bows, nothing wrong with them just not my favorite
@HuWhiteNat2 ай бұрын
Ffs, the roller guard is adjusted. So is the let off and the smooth or performance mods. Know your shit before you talk about your feels.
@MADDHunts2 ай бұрын
Regardless of the smooth and performance mods, I’m definitely not a fan of elites draw cycle either way it doesn’t feel as comfortable as other bows I’ve shot💪

@@Backcountry300 Dude, I bought four flagships in the last two years. Mach 34, SS34, the gay ass Lift and the Revex 6. I’ve owned more bows in the last six years than you probably will in your life. I’m simply stating that what’s being said here about Elite doesn’t match my experience. I’ve owned at least four over the years. Never tore a fletching but then again, I don’t shoot a fucking Whisker Biscuit, lol.
