the thingy thing with the right side mirror is a snorkel. the engine combustion gas would go out from it, above the roof, instead of going out under the rear bumper, and it´s useful when the car needs to cross a river or a muddy terrain, otherwise the mud\water would fill the engine and it would stop.

The cans on the back our called Gerry cans. Red is Gas. Blue is Water and Yellow would be diesel.
