Steven, the new noise you hear is the brass cogs in the string stop/let-off adjuster. it's too loose and rattles in it's bed of alluminum. Drove me crazy, I took them out...

There are markings and numbers on the back side of the module. The markings also help you to line up in-between numbers for 1/4" adjustment.

Just ordered a set. Shoulder bursitis has been giving me some trouble with Omnia @ #70. Would like a bit more hold weight but found not enough valley with a short draw made it too jumpy

I just bought a 2023 Diamond by Bowtech Alter compound hunting bow that has flip disc comfort/performance binary cam technology. Not in the sparse manual, but I think you swap the mirror image top and bottom cam modules rather than actually flipping them over. The cams also have A and B cable routing, not in the manual but probably A for upper end draw weight/length and B to reach the super low end of the draw weight/length range, ala the PSE Stinger grow-with-you system. 2023 manuals haven't been released yet. The supplied owner's manual was sparse and generic and didn't even list the max limb bolt turns (although there are sight window holes that are empty at 10 turns out). The Alter only comes in 10-70 lbs, so I wonder if B would make it a 60 poundish max bow with limb bolts cranked all the way in but might change the efficiency, draw cycle, and draw length. A look up table would clarify this (not available). Comfort mode is a super smooth draw, so I will keep it in comfort for my recreational target shooting, but hunters will essentially get two bows in one.

On my Rezult the smooth mods were not so much about ease of draw but made running with less let off much nicer. without the steep valley wall... some off my bows at 70-75% if you so much as twitch they want to go. still has a nice short valley but more gently sweeps up into the power so you can let it down all day without getting sore and like I said doesn't want to run away from you if you ever so slightly creep forward as you relax your front shoulder. on "normal" or "non target specific" bows I typically prefer 80%

When installing small module and draw stop screws I keep the Allen/Torx wrench parallel instead of 90 degrees. Prevents over torquing and stripping the threads.

I recently purchased a Verdict with the 75% mod already installed. Their website claims is is slower than the standard mod. Have you tried the 75% mod?

just as a quicky, when you buy the bow is there an option for the smooth ones or fast ones? also in this vid you have all the stabilizers on it yet when you first tried the bow you shot a dozen arrows into the gold why do you need the stabilizers? radical ones at that.

Bowtech comfort/performance flip disc technology gives you both at no extra cost or delivery time. When it comes to deciding between flagship bows, not having this included in the US $1,200 price can make the difference.

Based on this review I think I will have to get a set of smooth mods for my Verdict. I have just checked your web sight, I couldn’t find the modules. I was just wondering when the modules are due into stock?

What is stripping? The easy to replace screws or the threads on the expensive to replace cams?

I have the smooth mods fitted. The performance mods are fine, but hold around peak weight a little longer in the draw cycle & give amore positive drop into the valley is all.

Steve, should i buy an used Oneida Tomcat for 180 dollars? It's in good condition.
@robertmiller6822
@robertmiller6822 2 жыл бұрын
I would say if you want to buy it go for it I have a ondella muzzy but I hardly shoot it, they are pretty loud and look cool alitte hard to tune, but not really my thing because I'm more into compound more the recurve. But 180s not too bad I think Steven would have a hard time telling people to buy bows he hasn't seen in person and one person could love the bow and another could hate it. It's all personal preference.

@@robertmiller6822 would it be good as a first bow or should i get a pse stinger ?
@robertmiller6822
@robertmiller6822 2 жыл бұрын
@@sahaf4730 I would personally go the stinger for a first bow it has adjustable drawlength and you can adjust the weight by a fair bit, for a first bow i think you should go the stinger plus they are alot faster and more quite and shoot further, I would say it would also be easier to get parts, the stinger is a compound bow the tomcat is a cross between recurve and compound sort of but for learning don't buy a 70# bow straight away unless it's adjustable by like 20 pounds, I've been shooting a few years and only shoot 55# at the moment started with 45#
@sahaf4730
@sahaf4730 2 жыл бұрын
@@robertmiller6822 thanks for the advice. Personally i feel like the draw weight wouldn't be much of an issue as i have great upper body strength but the availability of parts is a huge issue. Especially considering i live in Bangladesh and archery shops are almost non existent here
@robertmiller6822
@robertmiller6822 2 жыл бұрын
@@sahaf4730 yeah man it's just you never use these muscles for everyday use unless you row boats but it depends how many arrows you want to shoot I like t shoot atleast 100 a session but I can shoot 70# it just makes me sore but if your a big boy you should be right and it's hard to get parts for older bows aswell man its usually easier to join a bunch of archery pages to find parts but pse would be alot easier than ondella.
