I mean it’s good for their income but I wouldn’t exactly call it “competitive” considering Saudi Arabia are offering, in some situations, 10 times the wages that clubs in Europe can pay. Especially considering that only a matter of months ago Saudi Arabia were being sanctioned by FIFA over a systemic issue with wage non-payment. It just makes you wonder about how long this can go on and the long term affects for global football once this overspending stops.
