I dont understand...KZbin compresses the video even at 1080p. I dont really see a shimmer/glow outside the rock

At 5:30 there is a shimmer, or glow along the top edge of the rock, that's the effect.

I think you don't understand. The blurry pixilation around the rock is intended and ingame. The intensity of the glow is what is important. Go for dark reddish/yellow asteroids or ones with a bright yellow glow.

They are just a little lighter thats all

This method does not work. Every asteroid is outlined with just about the same aura. They all look the same up close.
