Elite: Dangerous - Deciat Ganker Assaults a Pilots' Federation Official

Cmdr Eggzachtly later complained on Twitch chat that I owed him another fight, because this fight had been "unfair". He was banned by FDev from Elite: Dangerous for "reasons" before such a rematch could take place. Sad.

Ganking should have consequences. I mean, in real life you can choose ti be a criminal, but there are serious consequences. In ED, you can choose to be a criminal, and it's free. You just pay a few bucks, wait till you are zero notorious, and that's it. If there were consequences, to be a criminal would be way more interesting. Instead of stupid gankers, who, with a few exceptions they are mostly mediocre pilots with a good ship, I am pretty sure there would be true gangs and mafias. That would be nice. Gankers suck.

One of the biggest shortfallings in the game imo is the lack of punishment for crime. If your ship is destroyed while you have notoriety, your insurance should either not cover it or cover it at a lower % based on how high your notoriety was. So as you commit more crimes in rapid succession, your rebuy goes from 10% of original price to 100% of original price. That said, the rewards for criminal activity would have to go up to keep it worthwhile. But it would have effectively eliminated ganking because when a tanker inevitably runs up against an experienced pilot who gets them popped and they end up facing a full rebuy at full cost, they'll probably never do it again 😂

@@danielstokker why not? I got to practice a interdiction drill and try to high wake out in time. It didn't work, yeah, but no big deal. The 10 Mil rebuy is nothing to me now. And some PvP bounty hunter is gonna get a slightly better bounty off the guy that killed me.

@@danielstokker I didn't fall for it I walked into it. Different. I knew the danger and went in open anyway. I like to see the other commanders even if I get blown up once or twice. It tests my awareness and reaction to being hunted.

Well happened yesterday or at least almost 48 hours ago, taking my old viper to deciat, forgot I was in open and was like "oh what the hell Im a viper I am a waste of time to gankers anyway" got interdicted by python, i still have my medium rails a multi and a seeker missile rack. Manage to put his drive at 12% before I turned into minced meat

I always do open play in cheap ships, and normally its mat runs, i leave my big ships in the hangar

You get that when you target a specific module. You also get a little bit of "micro-gimballing" from the rail guns when you target any of the ship's modules.

Ganker's and their FDLs. One tried to attack my PVE vette (ps4) near Jameson Memorial. My vette has what should in theory be the strongest shield set up to withstand punishment. Their fixed rails or whatever were like belly tickles. I got bored, called them a bothersome fly and left. Nice accuracy and HOTAS set up! I'd love to move to pc, but the thought of losing all my grind is depressing

I got ganked by this CMDR literally three days ago while I was touching down on the pad in Deciat with my brand new Fer De Lance. Got ganked again on departure by his buddy. 4m credits in rebuy down the drain (thank you insurance)

Torp's are commonly known as trash weapon tier, only brain dead can take hit from torpedoes, they are 250m/s, there is no way it can catch up on FDL flying 500m/s.. Oh wait, what? It did what? Anyway.. I bet, he was laughing about it for a moment: "oh no, it's a torpedoes, what i am gonna do on this 500m/s ship, there is no way i can outrun them.. /s" Following by sudden: Wait, what the fuck, where did it came from?! I am flying 500m/s this is not possible. They are commonly known as a trash, this can't be real, no. Instant regret moment.
