What about standby with the usb plugged into the headset? Does the quest 3 keep trying to take power from the battery when in standby mode I.e not in use; therefore you’re leaving your quest 3 at 100% (battery wear) if not in use for a long time

The new battery compartment on the new Elite style strap is really neat, much nicer. I always thought the original looked a bit blobby.

I got the k4 today... so much more comfy then the default one from meta... I was hoping it would be easier to push up and away to look into RL if I had to tho. its.. better then the default and I don't feel like it's going to immediately take a nose dive off my forehead, but it still keeps trying to fall back down in my eyes. and when I pull it back down it bring a bunch of my hair with it cause I have longer hair that I have to struggle to get back out from under it. I do wish it flipped up and stayed.

You could just tap the side of the headset to switch to mixed reality pass through mode so you can see around you and then tap again to switch back.

Yknow I will probably not get the battery one but I'm interested in the strap itself. I need help. I just don't want any pressure on my face because it starts to give me headaches. So should I go with that Halo Strap?
@MyTechGearGaming17 күн бұрын
Kiwi design now do non-battery versions of both head straps. The K4 and H4. It’s just missing the ‘Boost’ suffix as they have no battery.

I wish you just did a simple battery test for each to be able to say how much time they add extra.
@MyTechGearGaming2 ай бұрын
You’ll get around 2-3 extra battery life with the head strap. However, it does depend on what you’re doing on the headset as mixed reality sessions will consume power faster than just sitting and browsing the internet on it. Also, the battery will last longer on a Quest 3S than it will on a Quest 3.

Love halo straps…..but already enjoying my BOBO VR S3 with comfort, built in fan, and ability to swap batteries. And of course, might as well get the BEST and most comfortable interface, the custom made Oblik! 😊
@str8ripn8812 ай бұрын
Eh I've seen the Bobo have major issue causing whining while spare battery charges headset while gaming. So that'd give me a migraine no doubt so that's a no. The fans are over rated as sweet go ahead and kill the extra battery life faster using a fan and add even more weight to the front of the headset which already does not counter balance well. That's my issue with most halo headsets they don't balance well still front heavy. A clam with battery in back so well balanced compared to it. Plus the kiwi have charge pass through which Bobo does not. The swappable batteries are on smaller side and look horrendous to me. I think this will easily get most 4+ish hours of gaming straight then you can take a break and let it charge then get back to it. Should not go more than 4 hours straight in VR. I know some go days but talking real gaming here I would try to go 3 to 4 max then break if gonna game more. I have wanted to try halo headsets again but think this clarified why I don't like them for most my gaming. Sure for Sim racing or sit down non action it's great but for shooters or anything fast paced you see the screen move in front your eyes which breaks immersion and that's why I like clam style even for Sim racing and all as it keeps you immersed much better for the stillness and it's well balanced with battery like this

I don’t understand why Kiwi doesn’t make a magnetic strap, you have to stop playing and take it off to charge when the built-in battery runs out. I recently saw the Sonicgrace S3Duo strap, its magnetic swap-able charging design seems like a much better option.
@MyTechGearGamingАй бұрын
The sonicgrace duo looks very similar to the binbok battery head strap that I recently reviewed.
@UynaiqАй бұрын
@@MyTechGearGaming yes, both with swappable battery and charging dock, but I prefer Sonicgrace’s simple design. I just bought the S3Duo, and I’ll test it out to see how it performs.

Not sure how else to get in touch with you. I would love for you to test and review the HiBlocks charging dock that charges the Quest 3 AND their clear silicone controller grips….the only other dock that charges a headset and silicone grips is the BOBOVR one; but HiBlocks is more affordable. HiBlocks also makes a smaller controller charging dock that can also charge the Quest 3S-might want to review that also

It’s unfortunate they don’t have a Halo version without a built-in battery. I’d rather avoid the risk of an explosion-at least with a replaceable battery, you could toss it out the window if it starts melting!
