for some reason when i try to go to the steam home through quest link steam vr becomes a glitchy mess and unplayable

please someone help me, when i load into steam vr on my oculus s3 im standing outside, looking at like northern lights, but absolutly nothing else loads in, no menu, no games, just the scenery, the opnly thing i can get to pop up is the steam app that lets me resume or quit and thats it!!!! PLEASE HELP

The Half Life Alyx warning is a bug ( still in 2025 ) and you can get rid of it by changing from the rendering engine from DX to Vulkan and then you can switch back, whatever works best for y'all. Valve didn't fix it since they're working on Half Life 3 obviously!

I got a Q3 for christmas and quickly realised that the strap would need replacing. I was going to go for the BoboVR, but the price point to get the headset, an extra battery and charger was making me wince a bit. I am also not a huge gamer (I am pretty new to VR and gaming altogether) - I use my VR for the meditation and exercise apps mostly currently. This Binbok head strap seems like really good value for money to me, and is possibly the way for me to go. Thanks for the review.

If youre using the bobovr headstrap and it doesnt feel tight enough, loosen it all the way, set it the back strap lower on your head, and then tighten. Fits way better at that angle than straight back
