That blue color on Specialized Tarmac is gorgeous!

Thanks! It's the chameleon scheme and it has an awesome color-shifting finish. Specialized still offers variations of it, and other companies like Trek have some simiar schemes.

Hi, I am totally new to rollers and found this one and another one interesting.. is there someone here who please could advice me on how to choose between the Elite Quick Motion Roller and the Tacx Cykelrulle Roller Galaxia Cykelrulle T1100? Those are the two I found interesting.. what are the benefits and downsides of each? thanks 🚴💪

Is it better than Elite Arion Mag ? I mull over which one to choose....
@TheSweetCyclists3 жыл бұрын
We haven't ridden with the Arion Mag personally so we don't have first-hand knowledge. However, the main difference seems to be the lack of floating system the Quick-Motion has. If your more experienced riding rollers the Arion Mag seems like a much more affordable option.

Do you use the Misuro B+ sensor with these?
@TheSweetCyclists3 жыл бұрын
I did not, but the Quick-Motion is compatible with one so you can make it semi-smart for Zwift or other online platform use.

You think it's it loud enough to bother downstairs neighbour? I live in an apartment
@TheSweetCyclists2 жыл бұрын
It depends on how well insulated your apartment is. The padded feet help insulate the sound but there are still vibrations. A direct-drive trainer (trainers with cassettes directly attached to them) are one of the quietest style trainers (see the Elite Suito-T) on the market and what I'd recommend if you have noise concerns.

Hey, I bought a used one lately and it is making a strange clicking noise with the belts on. I have changed all the bearings, then at first it seemed okay, but putting my bike on it again, it started clicking again. The rollers run smoothly without the belts. Do you know maybe what could cause this? It's very annoying and while riding, I think, it turns into some resonance. Could the belts be faulty? I don't see anything strange regarding the belts... If needed, I could upload a video. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Are you sure the belts are routed properly and through the cutouts? If they are off the tracks the rollers don't spin smoothly and make some noises. I'd also recommend checking how much slack the belts have when you have the width set to your desired length, if they are worn out then they won't be taut anymore and could make noises as they shake upward/downward.

@@TheSweetCyclists thanks. The belts are routed properly. I think they are not worn out. I also use the 1084 mm option, or what and they have quite a big resistance when opening and closing the rollers. I searched again and I found some tacx rollers producing a noise very much alike mine... A guy said he could solve this by tightening down the allen key nuts properly with two allen keys simultaneously on both side. But I did that, too... Maybe I didn't tighten the bolts tight enough. I don't know. I replaced all 6 bearings for koyos, nothing changed. I'll upload the video now.
@@TheSweetCyclists it's pretty much like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2mUnmWJa9itfpI But mine smoothens out somewhat during riding, so it's not that brutal like this tacx.

@@tharyder That doesn't sound good, something is definitely not right. I'd recommend reaching out to Elite customer support, hopefully they can point you in the right direction. If you've replaced all the bearings already then it should just be a torque spec or assembly issue. I'm impressed you can open it up at the 1084mm length, even the 1004mm is tough to do.

Very too expensive for what offers you , I go for the Tacx® Galaxia much cheaper, and give you the same thing. P.S. The bike is nice , the blue colour is outstanding.
@TheSweetCyclists2 жыл бұрын
Good suggestion. The Tacx looks like it has a similar floating design just lacks the manually adjustable resistance option. The bike is a Specialized Tarmac with Chameleon color which shifts between purple to blue depending on the lighting - it's a beautiful color in person.

@@TheSweetCyclists Don't forget that Elite has a capability to connect a sensor, which allows you to ride e.g. on Zwift etc.

And Galaxia is a lot bigger in a "storage configuration". QM is a brilliant compact package.
