I am half Native American. A while back I was interested in living in Canada. I visited a website where they asked a few questions. About a day or so later, I received an email that said, "you do not presently qualify for residence under any applicable program to Canada." I admit that my American arrogance kicked in when I asked Canada to be my new home, thinking that I could go anywhere I wanted. Conclusion: It is not easy for anyone to pack up and live abroad. Especially if they do not qualify for residence.
