Heh - I'm religious about servicing, but lax about cleaning. I do routine checks (lights, tyres, fluids, washer jets, windscreen wipers) 2-3 times a month, and get my car fully serviced annually, even though my annual mileage is around 5k. I just don't have enough cash to pay for cleaning _and_ servicing, and I live in a block of flats so I can't exactly run a hosepipe/vacuum over it ever week/fortnight. So... Not all of us filth-dwellers don't care about the mechanicals 😅
