I’m an apprentice in the HVAC industry, this is my first year, also is my last year of high school. I would like to see furnace/boiler maintenances and no heat calls. Love the videos you produce!

Hey Jeff, I just turned 37 a couple weeks ago and am only 2 months into HVAC school right now. I'm still building my tool set for work in the field and have no gauges at all yet. Love your channel and would like to see more troubleshooting videos, I'm fascinated with the process of diagnosing the issue with each unit.

Just started late in life with this HVAC gig after getting hooked installing a mini-split with a friend. So less than a year. I do enjoy your vids regardless if it's homes or industrial. I'm currently using an analog gauge set (Yellow-Jacket) so this looks perfect for what I'm doing. Win or not, keep up the videos. I'm amazed how you can upload the same day you shot it. Cool.

I have been doing it for about 10 years. I have used a digital manifold a few times. I would love to try these! I like the Bluetooth idea. I would like to see more troubleshooting of refrigerant circuits.

I am a graduate from technical college, I am in the field about eight months. I have watched a lot of yr content and I have learned a lot. I would like you to do more content on low voltage, and heat pump issues in the field.

This would be wonderful for my son as he starts A/C classes and apprenticeship. I'm not a tech but watch your videos to learn how to troubleshoot on my own.

Evening Jeff, not in the trade but a very DIY guy here, I watch tons of HVAC channels and I'm getting ready to maybe install my own Bosch IDP 5-ton. The only gauge set I have is an automotive R134 analog set. My 30-plus-year-old Ruud just is not cutting it. I had a tech come out and gauge up and I'm sure he was trying to scam me because his FieldPiece unit was reading close to 1000 psi on the high side, no way is that possible. But either way, the unit has either a bad compressor or TXV valve, not worth fixing this old R-22 system. This will come in handy down the line because I do have some mini-splits I want to install. Anyway, great demo, and fingers crossed I get picked. Cheers

My name is Chris , I am a first year of hvac apprentice on New York City, I like your channel, residential and commercial service calls, which I like that because I want to be a service tech actually I don’t have a gauge so put me in wish I have a good luck for the new gauge thank you

Ive been 3 months in with a small company as a helper/installer. They mentioned about getting me into service work. Ive been in college at IVYTech for 2 1/2 years and it took all that time for a good small company to pick me up, balancing a full time job and slowly taking classes. Ive used the fieldpiece in college and not much on analog. Ive debated getting my own and using this gauge for installing condensers would be great.

Jeff, I am DiY senior person (apprentice) learning from your videos to perform HVAC tasks and have been following you for at least 6 months. My interest is to fix my own ac and help my community. I would like to see more videos on how to measure amp draw (detailed from what wires) for compressor and fan. When to know when a compressor is locked and measure LRA. Your videos are great but camera does not capture some of the details needed. Thank you for the job you are doing and hope to be consider for the drawing.

Can't wait till you call my name out :) I just really started this last year, but have "family knowledge" of years. Just passed my EPA test 2 months ago, and have kept quite busy this year already! My analog gauges need to retire. I'd really like to see some install/certification process on gas furnaces (I know how to set gas pressure and measure static), especially around flue analysis.

Love the content. I watch all the time. Only one year in HVAC. I sure could use this but your call. Ive never used a digital but have seen other use them. Thanks for considering me.

I could use a new set of gauges been in the field for about 18 years looking to get a digital manifold been using analog for awhile now. With the new refrigerant coming out should be useful to me. Thanks for the videos bud keep ‘em coming!!!

Just came from AHR2024. Elitech booth rep overheard me talking about their gauges to my colleague who still uses old school compound gauges and gave us both DMG-4B’s.

I've been in the trade for 1.5 years and still use the analog gauges because I can afford digital gauges at this time. And could you do some videos on economizer's on small commercial Equipment. Thanks

What’s your long term usage review? I have these got them in April. And my set leaks on the high side inside the manifold. It will actually frost up the housing

Older tech here, just wondering if you see a lot of Carrier Infinity gas furnaces and heat pumps. Unless your a dealer not much training out there. Would love to see more of that. Don’t need the gauges lol

I do run into them occasionally. We used to put in a lot of them but the infinity stuff is just so dang expensive now.

@@JeffsHVACAdventures yes, no kidding! But was able to get some minor scratch and dent units for my home from CE here in Toronto. Installed and working great! But know this won’t last forever. Just don’t see much of these units on the inter webs.

Not sure it is possible to get realtime temperature for sc and sh with this unit. No jacks for wired temps and I could not find any elitech bluetooth temp probes. Their better manifolds can use their wired temp clamps. This manifold may not be a good first digital manifold.
@realSamAndrew Жыл бұрын
I read somewhere that these should not be compared to a typical digital manifold, they are more like an electronic digital version of the classic stand alone dual circular gauge manifold. They display the pressure and add a few extra features not found on analog, including storage of 150 different refrigerant pt charts, Bluetooth transmission to a smartphone for logging data, and an app to view the readings from a distance to the unit. Even with no automatic sh/sc, you can't do these things with a standard analog set.

Hi Jeff! Herman here, Kumusta? Just pop up on my messages your post and I do believe you’re giving up a Elitech DMG M4 digital manifold gauge but I think it was done I days ago. Anyway, I do as a HVAC Tech. for 28 years and I was working in one good HVAC Co. Here in Chicago IL. & I just start as a individual contractor last March this year. I left the company because I can’t do a full time job due to health reason heart failure but still I can work like parttime. At the I’m using yellow jacket analog manifold gauge. I know your give away digital gauge was finished, but I feel you’ll do it again in the future and eager to send you a message for your second good samaritan give away, I’ll the lucky one. 😇 Thank you in advance and God Bless Us All!!!

These things are Junk! I have had fist set high side leak internally. Elitech replace unit. I bought a second set so I wasn’t without gauges. 2 weeks later these leak exactly the same. Now I’m using the replacement set from the first leak and now those are leaking. 3 sets all leak in the same spot internally. All within 2 months
