Put a shutoff valve between vacuum pump and the micron gauge. Off course it’s going up because the vacuum pump is Off.

I heard this can be because there is such a tiny amount of space for the vacuum in the gauge, and a micron is such an infinitesimally small unit, that a normal microscopic leak can = lots of micron going down. But I'm not sure about that...

That's true, but not so fast, I tested it in comparison with a Testo 552i which behaved way better.

@@Messeduptech77 Yeah, if one goes down faster then it leaks worse. Doing vacuum is complicated enough without the gauge adding to it by leaking more than a normal fitting.

I see something wrong. The gauge is horizontal. It MUST be vertical or somewhere between 11 or 1 .
