Thanks for saying what we were all thinking. This is gambling, and the worst kind of it at that. I think skin crates are fine, since they give no competitive advantage. This on the other hand creates a ton of problems, namely game balance. People don't have to play the game anymore, or at least not well. If they have enough money, they can just keep gambling for nuke and make the game insanely easy. Plus with the new VIP+ subscription, you get a 100% luck bonus, further incentivizing people to spend tons of cash on the game. It's fine if they want to make the game p2w, but if you're going to do it just be up front about it. Don't make people spend extra due to "luck". We came here to play a tower defense game, not a glorified gacha game with "oh yeah, and there's tower defense if you want to".

The saddest part about it is, that they basically did it a bit after GDI released an EXACTLY identical update with such features, but in TDX you can't buy them (or don't "have" to.) but rather can earn them through rounds. TDX adds tanks, military base is reworked, Endless mode is introduced to TDX, TDS uses intermediate in their new difficulty, TDX adds abilities, TDS does i hope the devs are one day capable of their own thoughts and ideas and not ripping off other games, TDX abilities not only are better quality but actually work with the game because its alot more harder then TDS, but hey if they are gonna make more bad decisions might as well add the line of sight feature and ruin half the maps.

I think it creates a new dimension of gameplay and we can create more concepts to the game, it’s here to assist the players and it allows us to play for example only with basic towers in Fallen (just an example) and way more! Plus, it is completely FREE if u just play the game lol, Elite was just too impatient and went for p2w just after opening 2 basic crates and thought it couldn’t give anything op… But you can actually get a crate at the end of each game, and can get anything in the crate 😂 So yh, for me it’s just a cool addition that makes the game funny again for old players like us who started to run out of ideas of gameplay when there is no events

I think consumables should like gadgets in Pixel Gun Tower Defense. They would be one-time purchases with infinite uses, but they won't be as strong as they currently are. That way gambling is not a part of gameplay, and now consumables aren't overpowered and would be used for cleaning up leaks or strategically supporting your defense on certain waves. Like in PGTD, this new system would give consumables a fairly long cooldown (or short depending on the item). My problem with consumables is how strong they are, and how they are obtained through gambling. If the game gets balanced around powerful consumables, then gambling will be an essential part of gameplay, which will not be fun unless you are extremely rich, and even if you are rich, RNG isn't always fun. If possible, they could make the consumables not obtained through crates but just through the shop for a fixed amount of money (you can buy one of any consumable for a specific amount of coins). That would make the game more strategic about how you spend your money and somewhat encourage you to conserve your consumables.

13 days late but I think consumables should be usable in hardcore but they should have some limit like only being able to use it once and also have less damage on certain ones, for example: nuke deals 25k instead of 50k and supply crate only gives you 800 instead of 1.200 dollars.

I think this update make the game easier...in a bad way, mainly because this is a tower defense game but when you add "ability" it's just make the game too easy, yes solo fallen is a challenge but when the ability came and just win the game, worst of it is a crate like micro-transection, just keep rolling until you got a good ability and win the game I guess
