The thought of showing the club face to the camera really resonated with me, I need external cues when trying to make swing changes, so little things like this, even though I would have thought this would cause my club to slam into the ground, really help make changes. I was just fit for a driver for the first time on Trackman and found out I was actually hitting down on the ball and creating loads of spin. This thought immediately helped me "shallow" the club and hit up on it, I am hitting it with less spin, farther, and with less effort. You guys do a great job of applying swing concepts in a very simple manner. Great work!

I always look forward to the clarity and instruction with all your videos . This is video hits home because the driver is a confidence killer for me starting off with a bad slice then trying to recover . Would you say your trail hand has more of a supination movement which controls the club in your video ? Great content as always!

Y’all’s instructional methods and examples have helped with things that I’ve struggled with in a way that that nobody else has. For example: “Pushing the swing” changed my understanding of force direction. “Hub vs COM path” changed my understanding of club path. Been following Elite’s instruction over the past 6 months since being a follower. With some major success but had a blip the last few months. Suffered massively with excessive side bend (at least that’s what it feels like) in the through swing (don’t like using the term downswing, mentally for me that maps an early extension pattern). This has been happening especially with longer clubs. Think after watching this video I had a aha moment!! Chest/sternum aimed at ball/even inside!!! Been so focused on lead arm high, trail arm under in through swing. I’m losing all my set up angles 🤯 and almost standing up as I start my through swing. Leading to massive side bend just to get the club down to the ball. Tops and push slices left aplenty (I’m a leftie). Keen to get your thoughts guys. Love the content and a avid follower 👍🏻

This absolutely unlocked something for me. It felt really hard to understand when watching, but having just been to the range 🤯. Completely changed my miss from soft high and right to strong pulls. But more often just crushing it. Not so much with the driver, that felt hard, but hitting irons and 7 wood in a way I never have. It felt easier to do it on a more “upright” swing path with shorter clubs. With driver felt a lot harder. Will keep trying! Thanks for info.

Another great video guys. Truly so thankful for you are your channel, by far the best golf instruction on youtube and my game has had some serious breakthroughs since I started following y'all. You asked for questions, and I'm happy to oblige. Here are two from me: 1) What is the "correct" way to hit the fade off of the tee that still maintains the correct patterns you are explaining here (negative alpha + angular force)? I find that when I swing like this, I am hitting long draws which is awesome for outdriving my friends but also sometimes tough to control the accuracy. I'd like to work on hitting a fade off of the tee, but I don't want to make the wrong adjustments and start hitting spinny 240 slice fades in the process. I think this would be a great follow up video to this one! 2) You talk about wanting the club to be tall in the backswing so you can have "space" to operate in the transition for that negative alpha. Are guys like Rahm and Fitzpatrick just anomalies that defy the best patterns, or is there something to be said for getting the club already in a "shallower" position on the way back if you can avoid coming over the top in transition. Asking because this tends to be my swing pattern, and I'm wondering if I should be working on getting steeper on the backswing or continue to just "swing my swing". Thanks y'all!

Great video. Great series of videos. Last year, I started tryiing to put some of what you teach into my golf game. I saw a dramatic improvement in distance and quality of golf ball compression. Along with that, my ball flight changed to a fade. I didn't mind that change. Over time, the fade became more of a slice which was making me quite unhappy since that ball flight was never a problem for me. Just couldn't get my right shoulder to stay "at home". I guess I took your teachings about shoulder rotation a little too much to heart. Anyway, this video made all the difference in the world to me. Let the club at the top fall the way you advocate (which is weird as you say) while the shoulders rotate with me concentrating on the left shoulder pulling the rotation. Like magic the ball started slightly to the right with a soft draw. Hope it sticks. Thanks again.

Really like windshield wiper drill idea, just letting the negative alpha go and turn. I was close at range today but my brain doesn't let me do it, I hit under the ball a lot, Im too steep. I pull the ball more but I im getting inside out with my turn compensating i think, Im still trying to hit it like it's right in front of me like you said. Also helped for you to say that youve been at this since you were 12 like some moves at just plain counterintuitive. Great question and the supination act listed here is to aid in continuing the negative alpha force that is needed to match up with the angular force through the strike (stable hit). We prefer to see the ribs as the MAIN shallower, but they don’t need to be the ONLY shallower for all systems

Elite Golf , Why don't you speak to the backswing happens behind you ? Backswing goes back around to the left side . Shifting as you get to the top of the back swing , there is no over the top. The body is moving. You drop and pop rotate on the through swing . Golfer are going the wrong way in the backswing. Rory , goes back and start around the the left , shifts and turns . If you do that your have a golf swing that never stops , is in continuous motion . Infinity swing . Mike Austin did the same thing way ahead of his time. Keep up the great work . Golfers need to know how the backswing moves and get it into there coconuts and enjoy the game. Cheers Mates

Great video, thank you. I have worked on this in the past, and need to work on it again. I do have one question/slight confusion though... in the video you posted directly after this one "Shallowing Is Stupid", there is a section at around 3 mins 20 when you talk about all the "funky" things people do to shallow the shaft. Isn't the reverse torque that you are demonstrating in this Driver Slicing video an example of that same funky re-routing of the club using the hands and arms? In other words, I am trying to understand how the key concepts in each of these two videos fit together. For example, if I were to become proficient at my lateral moves and the drop of the pelvis, are you saying that this alone is not enough to shallow the driver? Many thanks, great material, Simon.
@elitegolfschools
@elitegolfschools 3 ай бұрын
The main key that we’re looking for is not shallowing the hub. If you do this then the trail arm gets stuck and whacks out the hit phase
@ambientlands
@ambientlands 3 ай бұрын
@@elitegolfschools Thanks so much for this. By "hub" am I right in thinking that you mean the club head can and should fall behind, but the handle and the hands aren't trying to drop down way behind you? So it's a torque but not a dramatic re-routing?

Thanks. I hit a slice but mine is due to heel strikes. Generally heel gets worse the longer the club. Any advice on getting rid of heel strikes?
@elitegolfschools
@elitegolfschools 5 ай бұрын
Usually is a spacing issue. Pivot point on trail hip complex rather than lead hip. Also would check set up principles to ensure you can move into heel bias throughout swing
@user-pf3xc8ms9l
@user-pf3xc8ms9l 2 ай бұрын
First, focus on spacing issue and then check negative alpha force. As club getting longer, circumferential force may increase, so club head is shoot away from body.(causes hill biased and thin shot).You might need enough trail hand action(supination with extension of trail hand). This action makes counter force to compensate circumferential force.😊

Like I know this sounds silly but should I feel like I’m swinging a mace underarm?? 😂 or should I just focus on the grip and not the face so my awareness doesn’t make me finch into my current movement?
