I remember not being too crazy about Eliza's blind audition, but it really goes to show how much coaching can make a difference in polishing someone up. Mikaela has a little bit more dynamic, so I can see why Snoop went with her.

I like that these judges get that this show is about GROWTH. If the contestants are on point in every way - voice emotion, voice technicality, stage presence, maturity, then what they need is an agent, not this show. This is a great incubator (with these judges) and mentoring opportunity. AND the folks who don't "win" the battle have already received monumental exposure from this show. So it's a win for both ladies.

Eliza was handling those low notes while Mikaela held down the tops. Such cute little moments between them, voices blending into each other. Mikaela had more dimension to her vocal & Eliza's was less adorned. Going into the ending was MONEY!

I was hoping Eliza could be stolen to improve more as an artist. I think her voice is probably one of the most unique I've heard for someone her age, and I can tell Eliza improved from the blind audition with Snoop, even though Mikaela was still a bit better.

When I saw Mikaela’s audition I just knew they were going to make her do this song. It’s too basic. There’s not much you could do with it without making the song sound weird.
