Couldn't agree more. Her performance was flawless and captivating. This entire movie was a tour de force, and so many of us are blown away by it even 20 years later. They all got screwed at the 2006 Academy Awards. The winners are all but forgettable.

1995 BBC version is best and tells the entire story. (If I hadn't read the book or watched the BBC version I would have swooned over this version.) This movie left IMPORTANT characters out. Elizabeth and Darcy never met in a meadow at the end, etc. The editing and scenery are gorgeous but left me unfulfilled as I had seen the 1995 version.

That’s my favorite version! It was the one I first watched with my mother as a girl. It perfectly encapsulated the essence of the book in casting, design and direction. I’m working on editing a video for the BBC series, but there is so much content to choose from 😭
