Seems like she had an idea what she'd be asked here and she answered diplomatically; she seems fairly honest in general terms. It's possibly her PR statement so she could draw a gentle line in the sand about her being a separate person from her (ex-)husband. Which is a good idea since he is responsible for his actions and the outcomes. Since she has his kids who could watch this one day, I understand that she can't just slam him and get specific on why at this time. Not that it's anyone's business of course, BUT maybe later she'll be more open with time and things changing for all involved. God protect the kids, at least she's able to talk about emotions with them, will avoid a lot of pain later if they can.

Back in the day I remember he convinced her to marry him and the whole gift incident. She probably thought he was genuinely in it for the long run like she was.
