I've recently become an Orthodox, after one year of prayer and discernment, and some other years of being called by the Lord. And now that I'm preparing to be Chrismated and to partake in the Holy Misteries, I've come across the witness of the Holy Royal Martys and St. Elizabeth thanks to you. God bless you. They touched my heart deeply. Thank you so much. I feel an enormous joy for being part of the one true Church which is built also on the blood of these Holy Martyrs. While watching the footage from the St Mary Church in Jerusalem I felt like it's a home also to me now. Only God knows if I will visit it some day, but spiritually, those who go pray there, the sisters and mothers, the fathers and and all who celebrate the Liturgy there, and me and my people here in this corner of the world will be united in the immaculate Body and the precious Blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let him be glorified together with God the Father, the only lover of mankind and the life giving Holy Spirit, from now and and forever. Amen

Not only extremely beautiful on the outside but the inside as well. A truly amazing person. I'm so proud of my Catholic and Orthodox roots. When I was young, ever since I read the life of St Joan of Arc, I had a great desire of reading more about the Saints, both from the East and the West, with a great desire to share some of their stories to friends. There's so much one can learn from their collective life-stories and spiritual journeys. St Bernadette, the visionary of Our Lady at Lourdes, France, once said upon reading such stories, "Don't tell me about their virtues, tell me of their faults and flaws and how they overcame them!" If only more churches of various faiths knew more about these people and chose them as positive role-models at this day and age, they might not have a need to declare needless wars on others. Mother Teresa of Calcutta and her fellow Sisters of Charity treat people, regardless of their beliefs and non-beliefs everyday. I'm sure St Elizabeth would also aid her as well by numerous means, from sending some of her nuns to sending food, medicine and other provisions as well as acts as other acts of charity and mercy. I had been told Sister Ella was told of the story of her namesake, St Elizabeth of Hungary, when she was a child, noted for her acts of charity as well. Some of my favorite miracles attributed was when she was confronted by her husband, who noticed she had a bulging cloak full of food, medicine and other items to give to the poor. He asked her what she had in her cloak, she replied there were roses. Considering this was in the middle of winter, he didn't believe her. He opened her cloak and out came roses! He felt she was doing God's work. He also was notified she was treating a leper in their bed. He was about to expel the man out when instead of seeing a leper in their bed, he encountered Jesus crucified in place of the leper. He then ordered all the servants in the household to help their mistress in her ministry and they were most happy to oblige.

@@angelaberni8873 True...like most saints had their trials and triumphs, what some theological scholars described as 'spiritual dryness' or 'dark nights of the soul'. It's best described as when one feels God (as they see God) is so distant to the point of feeling abandoned and yet God is very close. But during those periods does one feel their faith is being tested like that of taking raw ore of metal, it has to go through fire in order to be refined and purified before it's put to use. Whenever St Teresa of Avila (foundress of the Carmelite order of nuns), encountered any nun in her convent who felt depressed, she would remind them, "A sad nun makes a bad nun!" One of her spiritual daughters, St Elizabeth of the Trinity, used to have her own 'spiritual exercises' long before she felt called to enter the cloister. One of these was called 'the Clock of the Passion'...it involved whenever she found herself awakened in the middle of the night and unable to sleep, she took a mental note of the time and meditated quietly on the said hour on which Christ suffered prior to His Crucifixion, from the end of the Last Supper to prior to His agony in the Garden in Gethsemane betrayal and arrest, While in the garden, he told Peter, James and John, "My soul is sorrowful, even unto death...keep watch while I pray...." And as He prayed, His disciples fell asleep. When Jesus noted this, He chided them, "Couldn't you at least stay with Me for at least an hour? Pray that you won't fall into temptation...Simon, Listen to Me...Satan will come upon you like a farmer does with wheat, who separates the grain from the chaff....the flesh is willing, but the spirit is weak. Peter countered, "But, Rabbi, I won't abandon you and am willing to suffer and die with You...." The others added their agreement as well, but Jesus warned Peter, "Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times!"

@@RomanovRoyalMartyrs You know it might be a matter KZbin promotes channels for a time and then goes on to promote others , rather than you did something they didn't like. They were promoting some of my videos when that Romanov program was on Nexflex(?) and the interest in the family was high, but they don't do so now. You would know more about it than I , but perhaps you are not in danger , it is simply they promote different channels at different times .

@@RomanovRoyalMartyrs Could I please get a contact of your team? I am an associate of the office of Russian Orthodox church in Belgrade, Serbia, and we are now working on the project of a book about Romanov Royal Martyrs in Serbian. Serbian people love and venerate the Romanov Royal Family. I hope we could establish contact and cooperation in perpetuating the memory of them, preserving their spiritual heritage and presenting true historical facts about them. Maybe one day, God willing, your wonderful book might even be published in Serbian. It is very important, in the world of today, to constantly remind ourselves what a truly Christian life should look like, and the Romanov family legacy is a most precious example to all of us.

@@lporquai9048 I find it fascinating that almost all the European countries and the romanovs had Queen Victoria’s blood in them, and how much a woman who was only 5ft influenced their reigns.I think that there wouldn’t have been a WW1 because she would have stepped in,but she couldn’t have known how much devastation would have been caused due to the haemophilia that was passed on from her. Events would have been so different. Thank you for your comment keep safe and well to you and yours.

Ella was influential in persuading her sister Alix to marry Nicholas II, her husband's nephew. Queen Victoria did not approve of Ella's encouragement of the Russian marriage. As a young man, the Kaiser was deeply infatuated with Ella. He offered to help her escape after the Russian Revolution. Ella, however, would not accept help from Russia's great enemy. Ella's husband was not popular because he was a very stern administrator of Moscow.
